    I Want Candy...The "Sweet-Tooth" List

For some reason, many of us seem to be in a nostalgic mood...now I have done this in the pub a few times, and the highest number we reached was 172 different products.

What candy did you simply love to get, as a kid?

    Here is a starter list...

    Wacky Packages
    Lik'Em Aid
    Chuckles
Boston Baked Beans (guess I'm the only one)
    Lemon Heads
    Red Hots (by Ferrera Dan)
    Payday Bars
    Whatchamacallit bars
    Jaw Breakers
    Pixie Stix
    Ballpark Chew

How can I possibly have any teeth left in my head?

    Your turn...

We used to get these things called "Bubble Burgers". Basically, it was bubble gum in different shapes and flavors that looked like a hamburger. Anyone remember those?

And how 'bout the famous pixie stick? Yeah, lests take raw sugar, add some strawberry flavoring and put it in a paper tube. Thank God we have a 2nd set of teeth. My first set was saturated with all things "ose"... glucose, fructose...

    Starburst
    Sweet Tarts
    Hot Tamales
    Charleston Chew
Wax soda bottles, lips, harp, etc
3 colored coconut bar (black white and pink I think)
    Wacky Wafers
    Valo-Milk cups
    Reese cups
    Those little taffy banana squares
Bubble Gum....I preferred double bubble over Bazooka
Pez...Liked the dispenser more than the candy

    Candy that was annoying
the dots of candy on paper tape (I hated that they stuck to the paper)
The thin taffy that stuck to the paper

YES...those chewy Marathon bars with the cowboy on the commercial!
Wasn't it like a showdown between a good cowboy and a bad one to see who could eat it the fastest?

    Wax Bottles
    Yeah...Sprees were/are good
Now and Laters were always a favorite

Q: who was the biggest douche that you have worked with?

A: Eddie Van Halen hands down he threatened all the stage hands that if we wernt all pushed to the side when he got off stage that he would "bash our faces in"

Now the new David-Lee-Roth-Van Halen album, “Tokyo Dome In Concert,” is available for purchase, and it’s super, super, super, super, super, super, crazy bad. - Doug Elfman

Lots of stuff I remember (with some help from previous posts):

    Boston Baked Beans
    Candy Cigarettes
Those little wax bottles with liquid inside
    Pixie Sticks
Non-Pariels (sp) (you know, those chocolates with the white sprinkles on 'em)
    Whoppers
    Licorice
    Junior Mints
    Hershey bars
    Mr. Goodbar
    Hershey kisses
some sort of taffy like candy on a stick with a yellow and red wrapper - the name of which escapes me
    Necco wafers
    Pez
    Tootsie Rolls
    Tootsie Pops
    Candy corn
    Reggie bars
    Good 'n Plenty
Reeses Pieces (my step-brother and I got goofy one night and took 'em like pills - don't do that!)
    Almond Joy
    Mounds
    others...

Mostly now I stick to Nestle Crunch, M&M's (especially peanut), Kit Kats or Reeses Peanut Butter Cups
