When I went to a Thornley concert a few weeks ago, they used 5150 amps. When I saw Vince Neil live a few months ago, his band had 5150 amps. I saw a few local bands with them. Deep Purple uses them too, you can see it on their
    Perihelion live DVD.

The 5150s are pretty popular hard rock/metal amps.

I was watching "Live from Banaroo 2002" the other day and the guitarist from Les Claypool's band was playing through a 5150II. He was shredding like a mo'fo, I might add. Of course, Mr. Claypool was thumping and plucking away like no other, as well. Great DVD if you have the means, brothers and sisters.......Better yet, go to the show this summer, another stellar line-up on the bill.

    LOL

That's kind of funny. I read that Ian Thornley posted something like "friends don't let friends us Peavey products."

It was something that a buddy of mine (who likes Thornley) had told me to rub it in my face about the fact that I owned Wolfgangs and 5150 II's.

There was a Jimmy Neutron where Carl was supposed to say Tutenkahmen while looking for mummies, but was saying Tutenvanhalen... that was a good one.

I did a lot of 3d modeling on that series and the film. I remember the "Tutankhamen" joke when I saw the early animatic for that episode. They have writers in California that think of that stuff. I don't remember the "Carl in the stripes" gag, though. We did an episode where Jimmy forms a band and I modeled Eddie's destroyer (pre-chainsawed), but it was textured light blue. The texture dept. really gets to put in all the inside jokes though. Would have been cool if they textured the stripes on it.
