Welcome, friend......you will probably get several smartass replies to your question, as there was much debate in these forums last year concerning the performance of EVH. It varied nightly. I would suggest checking out the Reunion Tour forum. Sadly, this site was hacked a few months ago, and everything from last year was lost. But the reunion forum has been "re-created" as best as possible, and you'll probably find the accounts to be interesting.

It was the best thing I've ever seen (3 times). Other than every other time I've seen them of course!!!
Sammy did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it.
Michael did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it.

Eddie played killer at the Houston, Texas show. Stellar performance with lots of licks and tricks.

A lot of great bands come from Britain. The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, The Who, and Def Leppard are a few I can think of.

That's not what I saw. I love Eddie just as much as everybody else but what I witnessed in Houston, Texas last year from Eddie was very very below Eddie's standards. I still had a good time though.

Well for criminy sakes, why don't they make their way over to the UK?? I just took it for granted that they were doing a "world" tour, didn't know it was just here in the states. Sorry you weren't one of the fortunates to see them this past year. Saw them in Sacto, CA and they were great as usual. From where I was, I was able to watch the master tune up before they started altho I wasn't one of the lucky ones to be in the rings. He seemed very particular about the setup but once they started, he was great. He seemed to go off on his own with some songs but always came back. His performance is always up for debate but for me, just seeing him play again after so many years was enough for me. It was a surprise but a nice one, that they threw in some older tunes with Mikey singing lead. Hopefully we'll see them again this year or so..........

The US would lose hands down, Zep, Stones, Beatles, The Who what does the US have? VH pretty much.

Anyway the St. Paul show Eddie and the band played really well, especially considering they had no sound check.
