I've seen every tour since 1978, and my vote would go to the Fair Warning tour in 1981. Killer set list, and the boys were really hitting their peak.

I have only seen them from the F.U.C.K. tour on, so for me it is the "3" tour. Being able to hear songs like Mean St., Unchained, Romeo Delight, and Somebody Get Me A Doctor, live, all in one set list, was awesome. Even though things with Gary didn't work out as far as original stuff. He still did a great job with some of the old tunes.

1984 and the Right Here Right Now tour.

1984 was Van Halen at it's most outrageous.

RHRN was Van Hagar with no album to promote, just rockin' out.

For stage it had to be 1984, for atmosphere, easily the outdoor RHRN tour.

They were all phenomenal...But the reunion tour was something special.
"Keep honking buddy. I'm reloading..." -The Mard

    "......HEY!.............alright............." -BIG FOOT

" I know what you're thinking: "Do I want to watch Mard? We know that horses were very strong and could actually stop airplanes from flying away. The ones made out of stone called "statues" -- occasionally came to life and rode off is a colonial cliche. How many more times do we need to hear about how the oppressive Raj's wore villainous black capes, crafted cunning plastic masks to impersonate people, and drained all the blood from their slaves so they could keep the fluid in bottles in their dungeons? I mean, YAWN!

But if you're willing to sit through this dry sort of historical drama one more time -- or even just this dry historical review -- you will not be disappointed. In fact, some of you might just learn something they didn't teach you in school!-

MikeL...I agree 100% with you. I can't believe that people think the tour last year was their best. To me, it was the worst. I have to think alot of these people had never seen Vh before.
