    Default Am I strange??

Sometimes when listening to certain songs, my brain 'fills' in parts from other performances of the song I'm listening to. Let me explain...

The song 5150. When listening to it from the studio album after the line "...runnin' politician" my brain hears Eddie tapping those few extra notes that we hear on LWAN.

There are other songs that my head mixes up at other times as well. Sometimes it's not even the same song! It makes for an interesting way to hear VH.

<Disclaimer> No drugs or alcohol have been used in the above mentioned experience.
A little more volume in the headphones please.

For those of us with VH on the brain, what you describe is perfectly normal.

Often times I'll listen to the studio version of Unchained and my mind wants to hear the alternate intro from the live Oakland show.

When I listen to live version of Pleasure Dome, I hear Sammy's voice just like it really is there. Loud and clear

I can't listen to some songs off CD's because they are so much better live. Examples off the top of my head would be DTWLCD and FWYS.
Sammy did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it.
Michael did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it.

A: Eddie Van Halen hands down he threatened all the stage hands that if we wernt all pushed to the side when he got off stage that he would "bash our faces in"

Hey, the best part of that version is that Sammy ISN'T singing!

I do this too with "right now". I always mix up the studio version with the live version although they aren't that different..

    LOL

You aren't the only one who does that my friend. It's only natural to add in your favorite performance of the piece of the song instead of the studio album. When I listen to 'Summer Nights', as it fades away, I think of the LWAN version where the band just jams it out.

I do that all of the time. When I listen to Summer Nights on 5150 I think I can hear a tambourine in the background.
