Default Van Halen II vs. Women and Children First

I'm sure most of you are going to say VH II, but I'm going with WACF. It's a close call, but I think the better songs are on the latter.

    Default VH II x WACF

Can't choose a winner. I love both records. Great tunes, wonderful guitar work, amazing vocal lines (lead and backing), kick ass drumming. They got great cover pictures, too.

I am going to say WACF, just for the fact alone that it has In A Simple Rhyme, and Romeo Delight, two heavyweight Dave era tunes, plus I like the production alot better.

I agree with you Little Guitars, those two songs put it over the top for me as well. And, Take Your Whiskey Home didn't hurt either.

WACF. Both are very underated records. But WACF and Fair Warning are the "heaviest" or hardest rocking records ever released by VH.

Shit forgot that one, the way he attacks the acoustic at the beginning is unreal.

No contest. WACF blows doors off II. It's surprising how many people list WACF as their least favorite album.

The core of all Halen...WACF and FW.

Toss up, but only because these are the 2 (by far) weakest Album's of the Dave Era- probably the 2 weakest overall, IMO...could/should have taken the best of each and made it 1 release...I actually prefer III over either of these...

    WACF.

Three of my favorite VH tunes are on there! Simple Rhyme, Romeo Delight, and Whiskey.
Taylor Swift is nice to look at. Adele can sing.

Emperor Brett - "I can't believe you guys are analyzing song-by-song Van Halen III? What next, analyzing the script of Stroker Ace looking for some shred of Citizen Kane?"

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

VHII. I think there are more strong songs on II than WACF. ATCWR, EWS, Romeo Delight, and IASR are the best on WACF, while II has DTNA, SGMAD, Bottoms Up!, LUTS, D.O.A., and Beautiful Girls.
