Default I found new singer fo V.H.

This might sound gay, but I was watching Amarican Idol with my wife, and this guy named Bo Bice (I think?) really sounded good.If Sammy wants to do Solo shit, they should pick up this guy.I think his voice would fit in well.He has a good tone but then again doesnt sound like a pussy.

A fourth singer. What comes to mind after that is chaos and rioting. VH doesen't have many years left on the tank, they will stick with Sam IMO, and I doubt he will leave. If he does I think that will be pretty much it for VH. Maybe Ed might do some solo crap but I doubt it. Fans would be extremely pissed if there was another new singer, they know it just as well as we do. VH now is how it will be until they retire. Enjoy it for what it is. Sometimes we expect too much out of the band.

A 4th lead singer. It's amazing the idea's even uttered anymore.

What exactly didn't you learn from the Gary Cherone debacle? And he came from a known band. Whatever VH fans that remain will only accept one of two men at the mike and neither are contestants on American Idol.

The Gary thing aside, I doubt VH is going to even consider some 20-something no name that appeared on a bubble gum pop music TV show.

But you're right.. that cat has a great voice!

I think we should get William Hung instead. He's got DLR like qualities: not the best singer, but a good entertainer.

well, my own opinion is that VH3 was not a debacle..i enjoyed it..its everyone else who let ed down and pigeonholed him into the corner he's in.
if they are going to be a band, and sam stays, that's cool, but not a nostalgia trip every 2 yrs.. i want new stuff and i dont care who sings..
i think Bo is great and would add some humility to the band and create a new unique energy to the band and their writing.
    it would sell as well.
most people gloss right over the keys.
what does vh need to becomne viable in todays music scene?they need to reach the young people and add them to the stable of oldies(us) they already have.
can anyone think of a better way than having a cool, good signing frontman that is an american idol contestant?

"talk about a stroke..." Yes, one that sends you to the hospital.

Uhmm..."everybody let Eddie down and pigeon-holed him"?
    Never mind, let's move on.

Do you really believe VH can be reinvented to "becomne(sic) viable in todays' music scene" ?

Did you miss the year 2004? What (if any) relevance can VH provide to the current music establishment? Well...let's get the guy from "American Idol", that will make it work.

    Whatever pert...

Well VHIII was the lowest selling studio album in their history, produced a poor selling tour, caused the band to leave their label of 20 years, make yet another lead singer change, and led to the eventual hibernation of the band for almost 9 years. Other than that it was a smashing success.

**Edit** Sorry, but Van Halen should officially hang it up before they pursue a fourth singer.

But I did hear a rumor that Van Halen did in fact speak to a person, an unknown that was under a record contract, about replacing Gary. I'm not sure, but I think it might have been the guy that sang David Gilmour's parts on the last Roger Water's tour. But VH thought better of it. Was this rumor over here?

PS- Looks like Tankman beat me to the punch, sorry.
