Default Hats off fer a sec, RIP Chris Ledoux

Chris LeDoux dies of complications from liver cancer

Back when I worked in the country musix biz, in the late 90s, I saw him perform a couple of times. He was true.

And all I can say about his fans is that it's a solid red-neck love affiar!

Those are the real pick-up truck ridin', tight wrangler wearin' kinda girls Lucky to be there with my wife.
The best thing 'bout country music were the hot chicks in tight jeans B

But anyway: Rest in Peace, LeDoux.

I'm not much of a country fan, but Chris Ledoux was a great songwriter and a kick-ass live performer. Hats off definitely, he will be truly missed.

    God Bless Chris LeDoux,

I was glad to see that there are some other Chris fans on here. I just heard the news from my brother a little bit ago. He was one of the last, if not the last great country musicians. It's too bad that Chris won't be out there anymore to stand up for real country music, being that pretty much everyone else has been relegated to Queer eye for the country guy, or kissin Kid Rock's ass.

My only regret is, that I wish I could have seen Chris live one more time. I wish him the best for his family and friends. Chris was a true pioneer, and although the son of a gun was Country as hell, Chris sure didn't mind a little Rock n Roll.

Don't chew too much Cope up there Chris, and here's to ya hopin that ya have a great reride up there buddy.

You'll be deeply missed around here, Bo

He was definitely a true cowboy! This one hit me a little hard today when I heard the news. The 15th anniversary of my mother's death just passed a few days ago and she died of liver cancer. It's a nasty nasty disease.

WOW I had the chance to interview Chris a couple years back; actually two ocassions. He was a super, super human being. The man knew how to just flat out play and do a show right too. He may not have been the best singer, but what he lacked in that department, he more than made up for in stage presence.

If you think Garth Brooks was the first to go haywire on stage and use pyro and swing from lighting rigs, etc. WRONG...Chris LeDoux is where he got the idea from. Garth was the first to make it "cool" in country because of his broad appeal.

A tip of the Stetson, a dip in the lip, a snort of Jack and an :08 ride in memory for the man that put KICK and ASS in to the country music scene.

Well he's tall in the saddle short on the cash

Well he's a knight in leather armor still livin' by the code
That's made him what he's been a hundred years

    Well, the well went dry and the cow did, too;
Country didn't know what to do......

RIP, Bossman. You were, to the Cowboy Way, what Cash was to a black shirt and pants.
