Default Could This Be Magic? Background Vocalist

I was just listening to a 2 part VH interview that was up on easytree.org a while back. I'm not sure when it's from but it's at least 1983 since they play Big Bad Bill and talk about Ed's dad on clarinet. At one point Dave talks about recording CTBM and says that they opened the studio door to get the smoke and funk out. He also says that when he sang "and she said.." that a woman was in the studio with them and sang the chorus. Anybody know who it was? Dave said he wouldn't say and that he told her she wouldn't get any credit. Just curious.

I think it was Nicollette Larson, Ted Templeman produced her record, and Ed played on a track, so that's the connection...at the time it was rumored to be Valerie, but that wasn't the case.

It was definitely Nicolette Larson. She was recording her solo album in the studio album next door to =VH=.

The actual song title is Can't Get Away From You. You can find it at CD Now. (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/AS...747806-0626221)
And the album has musician credits for each song, and on the song Ed played on, the credit is: Gutiars: ?????????????

The album was released in 1978, I believe.

    For anyone interested as well
Nicolette Larson had passed away in 1997 from brain swelling.

What he said. Very sad about Nicolette Larson. She was a good singer.
