Ah, Jump. It was the first Van Halen song I new and the first I learned to play. Gotta love some Jump. Another great thing is all 3 singers sung it very well! My Favorite is Jump from LRHRN.

Excellent comment, my point exactly! Whenever you hear it live it reminds you of Dave, Eddie, Alex and Mike...PERIOD!

For me personally there are only two songs that I wouldn't want Sam to sing live, Jump and Ice Cream Man. To me those are Dave's songs. It would be like Dave singing Right Now; not meant to be.

But it is their only number 1 hit, so I guess they have to play it, but I would rather hear Sam rip into I'm the One or Atomic Punk before Jump, especially how he half asses it most of the time.
Taylor Swift is nice to look at. Adele can sing.

Emperor Brett - "I can't believe you guys are analyzing song-by-song Van Halen III? What next, analyzing the script of Stroker Ace looking for some shred of Citizen Kane?"

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

I don't know why Loss of Control is so disliked. Lyrically it sucks but Ed really gets into this song. The lead guitar part for LOC is one of the best on WACF. Oh yeah... Jump is one of the classic VH songs. Great video and great song. It's in my top 20 VH songs of all-time.

Loss of Control is one of VH's more energized songs and the song captured this perfectly. Jump is not what I would want VH to be known for but too late for that. It's a song meant more for the mainstream altho when it first came out and I first heard it on the radio, I thought it was a major move in that direction. It was good that was the first song they played at the show.
    RIP - Classic Van Halen

Default Use in Ready Player One

The Poll Sucks, because I hated it then, and now I like it. It's a looking back nostalgia kind of thing when everyone liked VH, before everyone like Van Hagar.

Brett, I don't like starting new Threads, if the topic discussion has already begin in one form or another.

Weird seeing something you wrote thirteen years ago, thinking that Sam and Mike were still in Van Halen.
