    Default One more flnager ? , I promise :)

I ,and a few others have already asked about settings on the MXR for the useual stuf( Unchained,ATBL,etc.) but how do you set it to getthat cool part in Mean Streets right before the first verse, andthe bridge, and also to get all that really cool flange on the fills to On Fire?

    Thanks!

That sound you are looking for is the Phase 90. Set the knob at it's slowest setting. Rub your palm over the strings. It's the same as Atomic Punk.

I don't recall the flanger knob titles but left to right set them at

    10:00
    9:00
    11:00
    2:00

"Poof" it's as simple as that

I have the phase 90, but the effect on it is way too sublte to be the parts that I am talking about in On Fire.

    Eddies little Monster,

I had an orange phase 90 and when I ran it in the loop, it distorted really badly and I was told that they were made back before FX loops and were made to go in front of the amp.

It did come alive as you said, the effect was more over powering, but way distorted.

Now I have a new EVH phase 90 and I haven't tried it in the loop yet.

But the thing is, I like the sound better up front for most of the stuff, Like most of Eddies solos on VH< just had the subtle phase to them, not the more in your face sound.

But if that's the case, then I guess I will have to settle for one or the other.

If I had more loops on my switcher , I could run both, but I don't .

I just got an MXR FLanger, when I put it in the loop, it had a volume change when swithced on, but in front, it did nothing to the volume at all.

    Thanks for the help

Cool man On my amp. I can control the level of my effects loop. so i was able to get a real sweet spot. I have an orange one as well thats about 6-7 years old and I never had any problems with it sound wise. So I dont know man but, The EVH seems to be built much better than the older ones so who knows...
