I had an opportunity to work with Brad once with his Beatlejuice project. Class act all the way and a great singer. He will be missed.

Default Brad Delp of "Boston" found dead

This sucks. Who among us didn't burn a hole in "Boston"?

Boston lead singer Brad Delp dies at 55 -03/09/2007 6:58 PM, AP

Brad Delp, the lead singer for Boston, a huge rock sensation in the 1970s, was found dead Friday in his home, police said. He was 55.

Atkinson police responded to a call for help at 1:20 p.m. and found Delp dead. Police Lt. William Baldwin said in a statement the death was "untimely" and that there was no indication of foul play.

Delp apparently was alone at the time of his death, Baldwin said.

The cause of his death remained under investigation by the Atkinson police and the New Hampshire Medical Examiner's office. Police said an incident report would not be available until Monday.

Delp fronted the rock band, who rose to fame in the late 1970s and had several hits, including "More than A Feeling." The group sold millions of records.

Dude, I was talking about him to a buddy of mine today. We've got a 30th b-day party coming up for a few of us, and I'm planning on crashing it with some drums, bass, guitar, and terrible vocals. We were thinking of a couple tunes to play. Someone brought up "more than a feeling." I mentioned Delp grew up in my hometown, "we could probably get him to show up and sing"

    Too young to die.

I don't think it can be denied that "Boston" is perhaps the greatest debut album by any rock band ever.

Son of a bitch that sucks ! God knows Boston was short on output, averaging one album every 8 years or so, but at least the first three were legitmate classics.

They'll be getting heavy rotation in FORD Country this weekend.

    Goodbye Brad

If I said what's on my mind
    You'd turn and walk away
Disappearing way back in your dreams
It's so hard to be unkind
    So easy just to say
That everything is just the way it seems

    You look up at me
And somewhere in your mind you see
    A man I'll never be

If only I could find a way
I'd feel like I'm the man you believe I am
It's getting harder every day for me
To hide behind this dream you see
    A man I'll never be

    I can't get any stronger
    I can't climb any higher
You'll never know just how hard I've tried
    Cry a little longer
    And hold a little tighter
    Emotions can't be satisfied

    You look up at me
And somewhere in your mind you see
    A man I'll never be

If only I could find a way
I'd feel like I'm the man you believe I am
It's getting harder every day for me
To hide behind this dream you see
    A man I'll never be
    Eat Us And Smile

    Welcome back, Van HALEN!!!!

...It's the BAND and Dave is really the cat that can front VH. He sang his ASS off and was really cool. No cheese here guys, this is filet Mignon! - Steve Lukather's comment after witnessing a Van HALEN 2007 rehearsal

    1. Of course I did. But I bet if you took a poll of non-VHLinkers Boston would win. I'd go with VH, of course, and Led Zep heads have a solid argument, but in the end I bet Boston wins.

    2. I looked but didn't see a thread. The other thread (wherever it is) is in the wrong forum.
