    Default Changing Pickups

Is it possible to change the single-coil bridge pickup on my strat with a humbucker? I know the sizes are different, but can it be done?

yes...unless there's room for a humbucker you'll have too do some routing though...

You could get a "stacked" humbucker

if he's got the "bathtub" route a new pickguard would be the easiest way to go.

Ryerye, use a stacked humbucker. It's the easiest rout to go. It'll fit into your single pickup slot with no alteration and it is a true humbucker.
There are also a lot of available pickups to choose from, from a no. of different manufacturers, each having it's own voice.
You don't have to use them in just the bridge position. They'll go into any position and sound as good as any humbucker out there. A lot of players like stacked singles in the neck position as well.
One of the most verstatile is the JB Junior, but as I said, there's a lot of them to choose from.
