Default Alex interviewed in Drummer magazine.....

Weird - I'm a guitarist but when you see the words Van Halen on a Drum magazine - you just have to read it!

    Alex VH cover story.....To paraphrase:

Had a great time on tour.

Have a new album being worked upon.

Ed has shedloads of material and is a genius.

A tour may include Europe & the rest of the world...(yeah right, and monkeys might fly out of my ...yada yada yada!)

Doesn't use anyEQ on his drums - just gets the tone from mic placement and the timbre of the drums.

erm...that's all I can remember - Check it out!
Ed: Actually, the last record I bought was by a band called Brand X
Al: I make my living by viciously attacking something
    Mike: ...actually I don't drink.
    Sammy: Are these yours Eddie?
Dave: Look at that ankle - dirty girl!

I'm not sure what I'm more excited about, the fact that there is a new album in the works, the new tour, or the new move of VAN HALEN PUBLIC RELATIONS!

Seriously though, this is the greatest news I have heard in a few weeks, just plain awesome. This has to be for real, because Alex would not put the VH legacy on the line again unless he meant it.

Then again, where's that 2004 Tour DVD?

    Let's get the album SOOOOOOON!
CNN may think my opinion matters, but you shouldn't.

Since 1996, I have decided not to believe a damn word out of anybody in Van Halen. When the new album is in my hand, and when I put it in the CD player it actually works and is not a LSD flashback, then I will believe. Until then I will put this with the "ten albums of material, Gary's in for life, Dave is doing the singing this time, Sam quit, no I mean Sam was fired..."

    You get my point.
Taylor Swift is nice to look at. Adele can sing.

Emperor Brett - "I can't believe you guys are analyzing song-by-song Van Halen III? What next, analyzing the script of Stroker Ace looking for some shred of Citizen Kane?"

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

    Preferred pronouns: he/him/his

Hurricane Halen - Let's all gingery touch our sword tips!!!

DONATE TO THE LINKS YA CHEAP BASTARDS!!!!

I guess Van Halen didn't earn any street cred from this past tour huh?

Rough crowd, but I can see where you are coming from. Call me an idiot or an optimist, but I think Alex is telling the truth (not what he thinks is the truth, but the REAL truth).

Yeah, where did you read it? At a bookstore or a dental office? Was it nice and shiny or wrinkled with half the cover missing?
Sammy did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it.

Q: who was the biggest douche that you have worked with?

A: Eddie Van Halen hands down he threatened all the stage hands that if we wernt all pushed to the side when he got off stage that he would "bash our faces in"

Now the new David-Lee-Roth-Van Halen album, “Tokyo Dome In Concert,” is available for purchase, and it’s super, super, super, super, super, super, crazy bad. - Doug Elfman

Ha - It was a bit creased, Ed was wearing pantaloons, and All was using a Simmons with Octobans all around. The stage was covered in ramps.

Seriously tho - the interview read like it took place either towards the end or just after the tour had finished.

It read very positive....I'm a bit surprised as I thought this was a US mag......obviously I was wrong. I'll try to get more dets tomorrow.

Please do, especially if we're not gonna be able to get our hands on a copy.

Sorry to be the party pooper here but they have been saying that there is an album in the works since 2000 so lets not get to ahead of ourselves. However, this news is promising. But we always have skeptical.

i think Alex is more in the drivers seat this time and Ed's coming along for the ride, even if alex has to lock him in the trunk of the car.
