I loved the Vivian Campbell stuff, that was THE lineup!
But i also enjoy "Dream Evil" with Craig Goldy channeling Blackmore, and
the underated "Lock up the Wolves" album with Rowan.Graver, Walking Ed, refugee from CVH & proud tone chaser...

Just like Jape, I'm also a big fan of Lock Up the Wolves (the album).
Holy Diver kicks - I remember the 1st time I listened to it and then I saw the VHS for the Live in Amsterdam concert (1983).
Somehow, I didn't feel the same when Last in Line came out. I bought it, but kept listening to HD even more as well as the other stuff Dio released (Rainbow, The Sabs).
TT: "Wow, you can play acoustic guitar?"
EVH: "Sure. What's the difference? It's got six strings... It's a guitar!" - 31.12.1978

I thought "The Last in Line" was equal in greatness to "Holy Diver," yet i've met
many who believe it wasn't as good.
But i thought LIN was a fantastic follow-up.
Yeah, LUTW was my last Dio album, and i still think it is stellar.
Rowan had the high tech chops, yet he balanced it all with really moody, almost
Iommi sounding riffs.
I thought he was really good, for someone that young.Graver, Walking Ed, refugee from CVH & proud tone chaser...
