    Default ADA?

Whatever happened to them? I remember back in the 80's (granted, it was the 80's) they were supposed to be hot shit...had great guitarists endorsing them. Now, they seem to have become MIA...what happened? -Red43j
Eddie must think I'm a BOZO to want to drop THAT much on one of his new Charvel Guitars!

Good ridence to them as well. I always hated the ADA gear. It was the MP-1 that a lot guys used back in the day. They always sounded like shit to me. Take a Marshall tone, extract anything good about it and you have the MP-1.

Did I mention that I never liked them?

When I met Scotti Hill from Skid Row I asked him about the ADA that he used, he said that it is in his closet at home and hasn't used it in a while...I talked to him 1 1/2 years ago..he thanked me for asking him, but IMO, the ADA's tone especially during solo's were horrible. Skid Row of course, had the benefit of studio mixing etc... I played through an ADA and wasn't impressed. But, if someone wants too get one cheap, you can...just tweak the heck out of it. Alesis quadraverbs with your own distortion/gain is much much more affordable and sounds better, from a quality/affordable standpoint...If you are in to really making your own programs/sound and stuff that is....
    Just go for it!

If you like cool, rock music, check out REVERY. We've put out two albums, and an EP. We were signed back in '06 and toured the US (our single Popstar Wedding was all over the radio back then). Our latest album, Adora De Phonic is available on Itunes, Amazon, etc.

If you look at all the junk that was out in the day, it killed everything. It was warm and had tone for days. The only thing bad IMO was it was just a little compressed sounding, but the trade off was it was very smooth. Everything else in the day was harsh or brittle or fuzzy sounding. Just look at the list of people that used it... ACDC, White lion, Skid Row, Living Colour... etc, the list is HUGE! I still have 2 that have to be 20 years old, and all I have ever done is replace tubes... my 2 cents...
