Default the 3 new tunes several months later

You know, I grew tired of the three new songs rather quickly. I broke out my BOBW today, and I have to say the three new tunes have held up better than maybe I originally thought. I'm loving all three.

It's tough for a band to release new music on a Best Of...There must be pressure to make the music stand against the other tested tunes of the past, while at the same time, I'm sure Ed and maybe the others felt like he didn't want to waste his best stuff on a Best Of....so the end result is the three songs we got...and to be honest...I don't know about tomorrow, but today, I'm enjoying the shit out of them again.

The three new songs are just kinda "ehh" for me. Not bad, not great. Don't go out of my way to listen to them, but I don't skip them either. That is kind of my Van Halen mantra now for about ten years.

I think most people on the links agree that "Learning to See" was the best of the three new tracks, it is my fav of the three. So why didn't they release LTS?

I took a few months off from listening to them, but I was listening to LTS last night and UFB at work yesterday with new appreciation. I'd say they've held up quite nicely.

I listened to all 3 of them recently and I must say IAT is definitely my favorite out of the 3. Mostly because its a "rock" guitar kind of song.

UFB is still pretty good but there is just something about LTS i cant get into.I think its the verse. It sounds too much like a Hagar solo tune .

They're okay. Never really liked UFB and I'm still not that keen on it. The other two are decent, though.

I was hung up on that the first time i heard it. The heavyness grew on me though. Kick ass tunage.

The 3 new songs are just ok. IAT is the best followed by UFB, LTS is terrible.

UFB still holds up for me. Dig the Ed sound on that one, screw the lyrics. Don't listen to IAT or LTS at all anymore; those two kinda went the way of Cant Get This Stuff No More for me...

Damn, I couldn't have said it better...I just was listening to those three on my iPod..... I was gonna skip over them, but I let them play and was really diggin them , maybe more than when they first came out.

Some of the lyrics aside, they are pretty damn good.

I never got into It's About Time in the slightest. I didn't think there was anything appealing to that song, and when I listened to it yesterday I felt the same way. On the other hand, I thought UFB and LTS both rocked when I heard them this summer, and I still do!
