    Default WWE/TNA Wrestling Thread

I know there was PPV thread... But I'd like to see a general WWE thread to have some life... Please, no haters... If you do not like WWE/TNA or "pro wrestling" in general please ignore this thread... Thanks...

    Thoughts/Opinions on Brock?!
Brock Lesnar files lawsuit against WWE
Brock Lesnar's lawsuit against WWE claims that they are preventing him from working in his chosen field due to a no compete clause he signed last year shortly after WrestleMania. He decided he did not want to wrestle in WWE anymore because he didn't like the travel and wanted to pursue a dream of playing in the NFL.

He did make the preseason squad for the Minnesota Vikings, but ended up being cut before the season. He was not retained on the practice squad.

His no compete clause prevents him from working for any competitor, including other pro wrestling or professional fighting (i.e. UFC, Pride) organizations worldwide for the duration of the WWE contract he signed less than a year before asking for a release. That expiration date is June 30, 2010.

WWE sources indicate that Lesnar was making "ridiculous" demands regarding the terms of a return to WWE when he began calling them showing interest in returning in the last few months. WWE agreed to let Lesnar out of his contract because he was willing to sign a no compete, promising not to take the star power and equity WWE had given him through all of the TV time and wins over established names and help a competitor.

WWE's no compete clause includes the entire world, not just the U.S., because a competitor in Japan or any of the other countries WWE runs live events could use Lesnar to draw fans at a non-WWE event.

Lesnar's an idiot if he thinks he'll get out of it. Maybe if he thought about things before bailing out, he'd still be able to wrestle. Just my two cents.

He would have been just fine if he didn't talk trash about "wrestling" to the media when he tried to make it in the NFL...

It's a shame he's now on the wrong side of the McMahons...

He could have had it all...

He'll never truly be on the wrong side of the McMahons. They always let bygones be bygones if they can make money out of it. It won't happen anytime soon but I see him in the WWE again when Shawn Michaels, Undertaker, Kurt Angle & Booker T all retire officially.

Just think if TNA could land Lesnar. He's the type of guy that could really help them get a better TV slot. I'd also like to see RVD leave the WWE and go to TNA. The major problem is the money they would get from WWE instead. A better TV deal puts TNA into the big time.

Lesnar's the dumbass for walking out. His contract specifically states that he can't work for any other wrestling organizations for a set amount of time after leaving the company. He has no case.

The Rock told the Filmforce website that his contract with WWE expired last year and "I'm done." Excerpt: WWE is now talking about producing their own movies, but The Rock says his days of donning those tights are in the past. "No. They've been wanting for a long time to get into the movie business and, I'm not too sure, I think like low budget movies, a lot of them straight to video. I think they wanted to and were looking for different distributors. No, my contract is actually up with them, it was up last year, so I'm done..."

They all come back to Vinnie Mac at some point. Look at Hogan, Flair, Lawler, Sable, and the list goes on and on. Once you work for him, he basically owns your soul.

Goldberg will probably be back at some time to, and Sting will eventually make a WWE appearance at some point same goes for Hogan before he "officially retires".
I wouldn't rule out a Bret Hart return in some capacity as well.

I doubt you will see the Hitman back for anything more then 1 or 2 shows. His head is really messed up from multiple concussions and his wrestling days are over.

If Wrestlemania 22 is in OH CANADA next year - for sure... Just not in a wrestling capacity due to his stroke...
