A very pushy angle. The fans react to them in a very negative way which is what the idea is, I guess.

On the other hand, it's another race-card angle that's been done all too many times before. The Nation/DX (Black-White) and The Harts vs. The USA.

No, but from what I have heard, it was pretty good and did not have much of a WWE feel to it.

You got that right... I tried to watch RAW the following night and it was clear that the ECW show blew it away...

The only thing I hated was the fact that there were WWE stars at the PPV who were never even part of ECW. Bradshaw, Angle ect.. And even having Austin there was a dumb idea. It took away from the authenticity of ECW in my opinion.

Let me just say this. If there is not some sort of continuation with ECW, Vince McMahon has officially jumped the shark

It's way too early to know the official buyrate for One Night Stand, but the early estimation is 800,000 buys! Not to mention Hammerstein Ballroom sold out, with tickets priced between $100-400 a pop.

Vince, it's a cash cow! Milk it!
If it's BROWN, flush it DOWN.

    GO STEELERS!

One Night Stand was probably the best wrestling ppv ever, IMO.

Getting back to the Bret Hart/HBK "Dream re-match".

If this ever did happen as a one final match thing for Bret, I hope its in the script that he wins the match and Michaels is a good sport about it and they shake hands and Michaels leaves the ring first so Bret can enjoy his one final moment of glory.

Maybe it could be written tha Michaels wins the title from whomever has it, and that sets up a Hart appearance on Raw the next night asking for a shot at the title he lost many years ago.

Then after the PPV, the next night on RAW. Hart comes out and calls out Vince, hands him the belt, shakes his hand and plainly says "goodbye, I'm now retired." Leaving the ring to a thunderous ovation.

Then they could set up a tournement or a fatal 4-way for the vacant title.

I know Vince can put his own ego aside when it comes to dollar signs, and this match would be a huge boost for the WWE and SPIKE TV or from what I have been hearing RAW may soon be back on USA Network.

I'd like to see the deal finally happen that brings Sting to the WWE to battle someone like Edge, and I'd also like to see Savage come back for a swan song like Hogan has.

    Wasn't that Bret's idea back in 1997?

I don't expect we'll see Bret inside a WWE ring anytime soon. He has taken up theatre and has said acting is like living a dream. Plus, with the concussion that put him out of wrestling for good (that led to a stroke while he was on his motorcycle a couple years ago), he risks permanent paralysis.

Yeah, he was a pretty big deal before everybody else got there and things started to get good. ECW's best days were from about 1998 up until they closed up shop and I think they should only be remembered for what they did in those days, in my opinion. Their first PPV, live TV, ect.

Austin will forever be known as the biggest thing to ever hit WWE and nobody really cares what he did before that. At least with some guys like Benoit, Jericho, Storm and especially RVD, you can at least think of ECW when you think of those guys. Austin is too big to think of him in his ECW days. I'm just saying they should have just left it to the guys that know and knew how to take real bumps and who really made ECW. The guys like RVD, Sabu, Tazz, Storm, Dreamer, Sandman ect. None of this "before this guy got big, he was here" bullshit. Austin in no way put ECW on the map.

It looks like Brock Lesnar is back in the WWE. Check out www.wwe.com.

They wouldn't put that there if he wasn't back.
