    Default Rackmount Multi-Effects Processor

I'm looking for a good-quality multi-effects processor to rackmount. Willing to spend up to $500. I do NOT need an amp modeler. I want unit that has delay, reverb, flange, phase, chorus, etc. Preferably one WITH a footpedal option.

I saw the T.C. Electronics G-Major. Anyone have any experience with that?

    Thanks.

i just purchased the new rocktron x pression. you can do amp cab sims with it if you want but it basically is just guitar effects that can be indiviually put into the chain. it sound very good. I have used alesis ( which sounded really good) art sge, various line 6, and pedals and the rocktron sounds very good. not a lot of color added to the tone

Wow. I haven't even looked at multiprocessors since they were the
rage back in 'Bradshaw Rig 80s', when I bought I Roland GP-8.
I guess the reason for that is it still sounds great and therefore haven't
really had a need for another muti-unit. Dunno what Roland is up to
these days, but I always dug em.

i used a rocktron intellifex for years (the xpression is the new intellifex) and switched now to G-Major!

the g-major is a absolut highquality FX processor.
it sounds more natural than the intellifex.

use the g-major with a behringer FCB1010 and you´ll have full control over your setup.
with the expressionpedals of the FCB1010 you can change delays in realtime or use it as a solobooster or as volumepedal or ad an effect to the sound.

it is great! i felt in love.

I've just bought a POD XT live. Yeah! it has the amp simulators in there, but they are fantastic and if you want to plug straight into the desk for live sound and recording its the absolute dogs dangly bits!

The beauty of the POD XT is that the foot controller saves you buying a separate floor unit.

New effects and amp simulations are in the offing and can be downloaded from the internet and if you just want to use the amp simulators you can just switch them off.

    Quality gear.

    Regards

i've got an Alesis Wedge that is pretty good. it's a desktop box though, not rackmount.

Behringer makes a MIDI footpedal that's around $150.

I've had a rocktron chameleon for years. Never needed more. Plug it direct in to the effects return of my 5150 combo. I use an old digitech unit that had a footpedal to switch it but it's not in the audio chain.
