    Default Double Live Hallelujah?

I can't find any info online about the Live Hallelujah double disc coming out. Didn't even know about it until I read about it in another thread. Anybody know anything about it?

Ummm, I think that came out quite a while ago unless they are planning on releasing another album under the same name. I have Live Hallelujah which is a single CD release.

Yes, I know ... I have the original release. A post in that thread implied that it is a dual disc re-release. I guess with more songs or something.

You know, I wonder if that could be a special "vinyl-only" release, as several artists have started making limited edition releases that way (length wise, it would require the album to be two records).

Just a thought, as I can't offer any light, either.

I did some "research" and according to the internet it is a dvd on one side and a cd on the other. It can be found here: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...glance&s=music

Since thats all been sorted, I thought I'd hijack this thread and change the topic (hope you don't mind Scotty).

How do you guys rate this album? I'm not a huge fan of live albums so I haven't bought it, but being a Sammy release I'm tempted. Whats everyones thoughts on it?

I absolutely love this cd. It gets played the most out of all of mine. My only complaint is that I wish it would have been a double live. I highly recommend it.

Honestly, it might be the best live album I've ever purchased ... or heard. BBB's complaint was right, the ONLY thing missing from the album is more tracks. The sound is phenomenal.

On a personal note, at the beginning of Right Now, Sammy screams "The Waboritas are kickin' ass in Charlotte, North Carolina!" ... I was at that show.

That is really cool scotty. Weren't there like more guests at this show or something or was that a different show?

Dualdisc just refers to, as someone else said, a CD on one side and a DVD on the other.

As for the album, well..... I personally think it's just okay. The music is good, but the sound is absolutely terrible. There's no definition. It's hard limited/compressed like you wouldn't believe and the bass is a big, fat, muddy mess.

I like the live renditions of "3 Lock Box" and "55" a whole lot. "Top of the World" was butchered, but all in all a really good live cd.

I've heard that Top of the World has been butchered before on this disk...I have to say I disagree...

I love this tune...always, have...but don't like the Van Halen live version...I've heard it live on Toronto PPV, obviously RHRN, and from the secret gig bootleg...I don't like the way Eddie slows it down so much when Sam starts to sing "I know she believes in me" ....it is supposed to be an up-tempo rocker...and I just think they slow it down too much...now on Live Halleluia, Vic attacks it...he is no Ed...I know...but man, I really think they get the fast vibe of the song right...

Discuss Lowlifeflatheadscum...I'm interested to hear what you mean by it was "butchered"...

The background vocals were simply a chaotic sonic stew. I think the instrumentals were just as fantastic as the rest of the songs on the disc, and I agree that Vic took on the song with gusto, but a very large part (I'll even go as far as to say the 'signature') of "Top of the World" is the part where they do sing out the title loud and proud. Even the live version on RHRN gets it right.

Imagine if someone played Eddie's keyboard solo from "Jump" off-key. Kinda takes the steam out of the song as a whole. I think the botching of the backing vocals on TotW crippled the song as a whole for me on "Live Hallelujah".
