Default Cool Fender Frontline catalog tidbits

We got our copies of the 2005 Fender Frontline catalogs in the store a couple of weeks ago, and I thought these were a couple of cool things that I saw (out of several, actually - including the new Eric Johnson artist model, due out in April.)

First, I thought this one based on the SoCal Speed Shop was cool. I hated the white going up the fingerboard at first, but it's grown on me. This was actually not supposed to be in the catalog yet, I found out. Due out around July, they will carry a tag of about $600-700. Not sure if that is retail or street pricing yet.

Next, I know most everybody has seen the Fender headstock tables in this picture made by Overkill Design at one point or another, but the new gas pump pieces made by Roadside Relics shown here are fucking bitchin', IMO. Note that one of them is actually a TV screen that you can hook a VCR or DVD player up to. I checked out the Roadside Relics website, and it looks like the relic gas pumps are going for about $1500. Pricey, but they are furniture I'd kill to have.

LOL. Yeah, at first I thought it was nasty, but then I warmed to it. I can see your point though.

I gotta tell you though - the Eric Johnson model is going to be a hot axe. I'll post some specs and pics here shortly.

I was in the guitar center in Phoenix on Monday and saw one of those So-Cal Strats. Pretty cool looking but I dont know if I'd play it. Look cool hanging on the wall I guess.
