    Cool thread!

How about Hill Valley town square (1955) from the first BTTF flick?

The carbon freeze chamber from Empire Strikes Back

    Shawshank Prison

The Korean Bell from The Usual Suspects (in my birthtown of San Pedro)

    The USS Nostromo from Alien

    The Bates Motel

Isla Nublar (also known as Jurassic Park)

Gotham City in the first two Batman flicks (not the neon nightmare from the mind of "Nipples" Schumacher)

The game grid realm of the MCP from TRON

The US Antarctic research outpost from The Thing

NEW YORK CITY MAXIMUM SECURITY PENITENTIARY (fuck yeah! )

    Ridgemont High

    Bedford Falls

Helms Deep AND the Mines of Moria

    Elliot's house in E.T.

    Omaha Beach, 1944

    Initech, Inc. ()

And last but not least......the New Haven (Halen) Connecticut stage in Live Without A Net.

Man, you all have listed some EXCELLENT places in movies I would never have thought of.

Some of the ones I like that are already mentioned:

    Haddonfield- Halloween
    The steps- Rocky
    The pirate ship- The Goonies
    Ridgemont High- Fast Times
And from there I'd like to add the mall- Fast Times. OH to have been alive during that time, it looks like fun!

The Chocolate Factory- Willy Wonka and the Choco Factory

    Crystal Lake- Friday the 13th

The mall- Dawn of the Dead (1978, NOT the remake)

    The school- The Breakfast Club

    Empire Records- Empire Records

Oh, TV places are even easier...

George Jefferson's pad (a deluxe apartment in the sky, if I remember correctly )

The bar of all bars - Cheers

    The Camp - MASH

    The Bada Bing - Sopranos

Any number of haunted mansions, caves, swamps, boats, castles, mines, islands, and deserted towns - Scooby Doo

The Junkyard - Fat Albert OR Sanford and Son (ick, signs of the times there, isn't it )

The House on Walton's Mountain - The Waltons

    The Precinct - Barney Miller

    Jerry's Apartment - Seinfeld

    The Island - Fantasy Island

And the very best for last, for now...yes, you in the know remember, the infamous Spinning Tunnel in the Alien Sasquatch Lair infiltrated by our hero Steve Austin - The Six Million Dollar Man.
