    ISO Some Rare Songs

I know some of these have probably never been heard but I was wondering whether any of the songs below are out there anywhere. They are some of the songs listed in the "The UNLIST from the "official website" is pretty cool..." thread that I don't have/haven't heard.
Can anybody tell me about any of these?

    Any Time, Any Place
A leftover track from the 1984 sessions.

Baby What You Want Me To Do
Edward and Sammy performed this Jimmy Reed original during an appearance on the House Of Blues Radio hour in 1994.

    Blood From A Rock
Leftover track from the Van Halen III sessions.

    Dark Star
An unreleased VH original. Very little is known about this song.
I thought this was not a VH song at all...

    Eighteen
The band performed this Alice Cooper original from time to time during their backyard party days.

    Forget 1
Leftover track from the 1984 sessions.

    Foxey Lady
The band performed this Jimi Hendrix original on the 5150 tour in East Rutherford, NJ on 7/31/86.

    I'm So Glad
Live: Right Here, Right Now tour in 1993.
I have Dave versions but I'd love to hear Sammy's.

    Lie To You
Leftover track from the 1984 sessions.

    Out Of The Ether
Leftover song from the F.U.C.K. sessions. It was later planned for Balance, with a working title of Hendrix Jam.
Pretty sure this one never got out.

    Ripley
Leftover song from the 1984 sessions. It was written on a Ripley Guitar, designed by Steve Ripley. The guitar itself is quite unique due to the fact that each string can be sent to different sides of the speaker through the use of its individual string pan pots.

    Shaker
Leftover track from the Balance sessions.

    Takin' Care Of Business
Van Halen performed this BTO original live from time to time during the 5150 tour.

    The Wish
Leftover keyboard-oriented song from the F.U.C.K. sessions. Thomas Dolby also lent a hand on this song, sequencing the notes into a MAC computer using Opcode Vision software.

    White Room
The band performed this Cream original live on 8/05/95 at the Blockbuster Entertainment Center in Camden, NJ.

    Whole Lotta Love
The band performed a cover of this Led Zeppelin classic during a 1992 performance at the Cabo Wabo Cantina in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

    Why? Because Why
Leftover song from the Van Halen III sessions that was to feature some vocals by Wolfgang Van Halen.
Probably don't even want to hear this one...

    You Never Know
Leftover keyboard-oriented song from the F.U.C.K. sessions. Thomas Dolby also lent a hand on this song, sequencing the notes into a MAC computer using Opcode Vision software.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, I'd like to introduce the king of 10 fingers and six strings... Mr. Edward Van Halen!"

Thought I had Blood From A Rock, but it turned out that it wasn't it, or atleast that's what I was told. If I find it I'll send it to ya, and you can make up your on mind. I've got plenty of version's of I'm So Glad, but they're all DLR era.

It is, but I was told that song is an old Steve Lukather tune.

a couple of notes about some of these rare tunes

Baby What You Want Me To Do
Edward and Sammy performed this Jimmy Reed original during an appearance on the House Of Blues Radio hour in 1994.
***I prefer classic Van Rothin's cover of,"Bright Lights, Big City," to this.***

    Dark Star
An unreleased VH original. Very little is known about this song.
I thought this was not a VH song at all...
***This has long been confirmed as NOT being Van Halen.***

    You Never Know
***This is on,"Your Filthy Lil Mouth."

Has anyone ever found live recordings of classic Van Halen working up,"In The Midnight Hour," "Funk #49," "Get Down Tonight," or,"It's Your Thing??"
ASHES TO ASHES...DUST TO DUST...IF THE WOMEN DON'T GET YA, THE WHISKEY MUST!!...

"I used to play the blues alone in all the local joints," he explained. 'The only thing that I can really play on guitar to this day is the blues. I heard Doc Watson and his son playing 15 years ago, and from there I got into Leadbelly and John Lee Hooker."--DLR

If you pay attention -- what I sing, the guitar sings, too, and what the guitar says, I say.--Mississippi Fred McDowell

Darkstar is a song performed by George Lynch's band before he joined Dokken I believe.
Taylor Swift is nice to look at. Adele can sing.

Emperor Brett - "I can't believe you guys are analyzing song-by-song Van Halen III? What next, analyzing the script of Stroker Ace looking for some shred of Citizen Kane?"

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

This is true however Lynch's song is called "Black Star" which is the song rumored to have been early VH but since confirmed it is not. There is, however, an old VH song called "DARK Star". As far as I know, a version of this song does not exist. I have an old Mikey interview from around 1986 or so (from a magazine) where talking about the old days he refers to a song called "Dark Star" but the interviewer does not ask any further details about it. I am guessing the unlist had that interview and so added the title Dark Star with the "liitle is known about this song" details
    Van Halen Live: 15 shows.
Have I seen my last one?
