    Default Feels so Good?

I can't get enough of this song, but not in a Van Halen way, more of in an reo speedwagon way...I'm not even kidding..I guess it shows the different styles of VH...I guess...

So what about this mad soft rocker? Any thoughts?

I think it's a fantastic song from a way underated album. We can probably expect some "Van Hagar cheese" type comments to follow though.

I've always like this song. Kinda fellow for them but the guitar solo is really good. Video is cool too.

    I'm conflicted on this song.

When I first bought the OU812 cassette I was not just a rabid VH fan waiting on pins and needles for it, but I was also a very dopey kid in high school. And it was these kinds of up-tempo rock songs that I loved - in an REO Speedwagon way, as Red Roth suggested. It also helped at the time that I'd just met a great, hot little chickie from a neighboring high school. So as you can imagine, all was right with the world and this song was often the headliner in the little headphone concert in my brain as I rode my bike about town.

Now that I'm 35, I can't tell you the last time I intentionally played that song for myself. I'm sure it's come up a few times with my MP3 software player set to "Random" either here at home or at work, but I couldn't tell ya when. At some point, I did kinda tell myself that the song was cheesy and dated, and did so by just ignoring it after awhile. The kid I was in high school faded away and was replaced by the cynical yet lovable fucker you see before you today. But my love for Halen certainly remained, electing not to play so many of the ballads or uptempo songs, but punching up the hard classics like "Unchained", ""Cradle", "Get Up".

I'm takin a drive up to Pedro today to see my uncle, and I recall he used to like "Feels So Good" a lot abck around 1990. Let's see what happens when I play it in the truck today.

I've always enjoyed this song. Just a happy vibe, if you ask me.

One of the better keyboard songs IMHO.

It's a 'happy vibe' song, definitely. My fave keyboard tune to this day is still "Right Now".

I love this song. My friends and I actually have this thing where if you ever hear someone(even if you dont them) say the word "good", you have to immediately sing "So Good!" in the highest voice possible. This is also the first song I learned to play on the keyboard by ear.

Yea, lowlife, you have the idea...It's like we like it, we're not quite sure why...it doesn't get a lot of air play by me either...I found myself listening to disk 2 of BOBW, and boom there it was...remastered and all, and I sang along and knew every word, every whew and whoa..I must have loved it at some time..around junior year I guess...

How about the next time the boys tour, they play a harder version...you know how they've made when its love, love walks in and finish what you started live? something similar to that.

Well, if 9 comes around anytime soon, maybe we can talk him into dropping a hint Sammy's way.

FSG isn't one of my favorite on OU812, but it's OK. Nice vibe, great guitar solo.

I love the way its written. The music is great on the song.
The vocals are catchy as well.

I can totally agree upon how many believe it sounds dated. But pretty much any song with keyboards will sound dated eventually. Perhaps if Eddie used a different keyboard tone alot of people would think different of this song today.

Or perhaps do it live with guitar only.

Feels So Good is one of the best songs ever to me. I love the keyboard sound on it, and the lyrics. It's a great positive song. I listen to this song all of the time!

I'll do you one better...I took the guitar tab, and deciphered the sheet music inside it slowly but surely ('cause I can't read music to save my arse!), but lo and behold I got it, and I can play it as well...for the most part.

I'm a guitarist though....nobody wants to hear me play fuckin' keyboards, man.

Since everyone's been flapping their yaps about it, I got the bug, and I'm listening to it as I type this...good tune.
