I wish I lived close enough to see "Hot For Teacher". Terry Lauderdale simply kicks major ass on the guitar!

I actually got to hang out and talk with Terry about a month ago in San Francisco. They played at a place called the Lost and Found Saloon in North Beach. They were really fun, but Terry is truly the guy that makes it happen. Between sets I was able to buy him a beer and chat for a while. He's a hell of a guitar player and an even better guy.

Check them out if you can!

I'll be interviewing Terry for Guitars101.com hopefully this month, so check that out if you get a chance guys. And also, HFT is planning an East Coast trip around March I think, so check them out if they're in your area.

Actually, I think they did the show as a favor to someone. There were a bunch of public school teachers in the crowd and the singer singled them out a couple of times and thanked them for coming. I don't think it was a publicized gig, as Lost and Found is a pretty small place, and the only reason I got to see them is because I was eating dinner with a friend on Grant St and I heard "I'm the One" screaming through the window. My friend and I ran in and sure enough, these guys were only playing to about 40 people all night.

That's why I was able to chat with Terry for a while. Very, very fuckin' cool guy. He showed me a couple of his guitars. He has a Wolf Special that was one of Eddie's guitars. That was pretty frickin' cool in of itself, but he plays it even better.

Well ya know their lead singer Randy is a school teacher, so they were probably co workers.

Here's that guitar Fable was talkin bout it was given to him by Scotty Ross. It was signed and played by EVH.

He's also got another wolf signed by Jeff Beck.

Ah, ok, I knew I had it screwed up. The gold one is the one I saw him with, but he did mention the other one. In regards to the first picture you posted, do you see the custom guitar on the floor? He was lovin' that baby. It has an orginal Floyd on it.

Thanks for info about Randy being a teacher. I thought that might be the case, but he didn't say it, so I didn't want to "spread rumors." There were definitely a couple of ladies there that didn't exactly look like classic VH fans!

    Thanks for the update Sucka!

A lot of the pics I've seen of Terry, he's playing a black axe (Ibenez?) I kinda thought that was his signature Guitar. Just a guess. It's the one on the entrance to his website. I meant to ask him what's up with the letters "TTT" on the bottom of it.

Ah yes, this one here. I don't know what the deal is with the three T's, but I'll ask him. That model Ibanez is his favorite, and it's an RG somethin I forget. It's a killer though, and the sound he gets thru his Mesa is just sick.
