    DVD for my birthday.....

in 9 days I'll turn 19, and my parents asked me what I want for my birthday. naturally I said I want a new DVD for my collection.
I'm looking for either a VH or Sammy dvd. I already have LWAN.

First I thought of asking for Live RHRN. I already have it on my PC and I love it.... gonna buy it sooner or later for sure, but I also want "Sammy Hagar & The Waboritas - Cabo Wabo Birthday Bash" especially because of the setlist.

So basically I ask you, which is better: Live RHRN DVD or Cabo Wabo Birthday Bash DVD??

On one hand, I like VH, the band, and I wanna see THEM play, and on the other hand I really love Sammy and the songs on his DVD.
November 9th - Montreal, Canada. <--- simply rocked!

    I love Canada!!!

Sammy brithday bash for sure (or long road to Cabo). I've been a fan of RHRN CD, but I can't watch video now.

The B-Day Bash DVD by far if you're a raging Redhead. Disc one - Great fuckin concert. Disc two - loooong interview with Sam.

Lots of shots of the interior of Cabo that many would never see otherwise.

Sammy's Birthday Bash DVD is great, but you can't beat VH. Although RHRN is sometimes annoying to watch because of the editing, it still kicks ass. I think just seeing Eddie's solo is reason enough to buy it.

Long Road to Cabo if you want to get into Sammy's head and see what he is all about. Great way to see what being on the road is like for the Waboritas. Documentary style. Concert footage but most of the songs are not in their entirety. Bonus disc gets you all of Sam's music videos though.

Birthday Bash if you just want to listen to music of a concert from start to finish. Songs in their entirety.

Music means much more to me than interviews/behind scenes...etc.

    Well Happy Birthday!

I think you made the right choice. I don't even think the LRHRN dvd has a 5.1 track. Plus IMO it's kinda gay anyway (I have the VHS). The CD is much better, although it doesnt have The Dream Is Over.

But since you like LRHRN if you ever want it I'd get it here http://www.deepdiscountdvd.com/dvd.cfm?itemID=WEA382902 it's only $9 w/ shipping.
