I think this is totally normal. I have been playing for 10 years or so, and I had this problem starting out too. Then I experimented with the strap and realized that if you are sitting down, the guitar is probably closer to you and your hands and arms are in a different position. The key is to tighten your guitar strap until it feels the same as if you are sitting down. Sometimes, it looks cooler to have a low slung guitar, so I would recommend playing/practicing while standing up. That way you can get some "Flying Eddies" in as well!

I wear my guitar a little high when standing too, and I tilt the neck up to where it's at about a 30-40 angle with the floor. This helps me with wrist and arm comfort, and with playing correctly.

yeah thats normal, if you want it to be less confortable just practice standing up. a couple of months i started wearing my les paul like zakk wylde and it was hard as fuck to play at first, but eventually i got the hang of it and i look badass when i play.

    Yep, adjust your strap higher.

    Warning!!:

Check what you look like in the mirror, you don't want to look like you are auditioning for the Archies....in other words, not too high. (Unless you are a jazz or C&W dude)
