    The Ozzy Osbourne thread!

Ozzy was the loudest concert I have ever been too. It was so loud that a girl was screaming in my ear next to me and I couldn't hear her, and I wasn't even close to the stage!

I like the Zakk Wylde era the best. No More Tears is my favorite Ozzy album. My favorite Ozzy song is Perry Mason, other Ozzy songs I love are No More Tears, Miracle Man, Bark At The Moon, Junkie, Crazy Train, Believer, I Just Want You, Crazy Babies, and Shot In The Dark.
Right Now you're reading my post!

I can't stand rap....people who can't sing do rap....you can sing rebellion as well as talk it....Hitler would have been in a rap band...

"Let me see your hands!!!! "

    "Everybody go f%&king crazyyyyyyy!!!!"

    "I love you alllll!!!!!!!!"

    ....Scenes from any Ozzy show.

Saw him in '86 with Jake E. Lee on the six, bloody good show. Queensryche opening in support of "Rage for Order", Geoff Tate on guitar for a song or two. And the mullets were in full effect.

I remember seeing Ozzy jump out of the bus and rush in the back door of the arena, he was wearing a pink jogging suit. Pink, I say. I think it might have been Sharon's.

    Anyway, long live Ozzy.

I'm a HUGE Ozzy fan, but that's mostly because of Zakk. I was just playing the Live at Buddakan cd the other day and it fuckin rocks! I've got all the Zakk albums, plus all the Randy shit. Never really got into Bark At The Moon eventhough I think Jake is great. I just think Zakk is much more raw and that's the sound that appeals to me. My favories would be, I Dont Wanna Change The World, AVH, Little Man and You Lookin At Me Lookin At You. Ozzy rocks!

I like all eras of Ozzy.... My favorite songs are:

    Suicide Solution
    Crazy Train
    Shot in the Dark
See You on the Other Side
    No More Tears
    Waiting for Darkness
    Mama I'm Comin Home
    Bark at the Moon

I actually haven't heard his 2001 album besides Dreamer and I
thought that song was pretty good.

Me neither, but eventually, something will show up. I want them to just cut the crap, and release music, how hard can that be, family related stuff not included of course.

Saw Ozzy live once on the No More Tours tour. Ugly Kid Joe, and Slaughter opened. Both got very cold receptions. We were up close, 8th row center, and we got pushed off to the side almost immediately once Ozzy hit the stage. The audience pushed forward, I fell, got my leg stuck in one of the folding chairs, and almost got a broken leg out of it. We also got hit by a bucket of water Ozzy was throwing on the audience throughout the show.

I met Zakk once a couple years later at a Steve Vai show during the Sex & Religion show. My friend and I found him and his band siting alone on one side of the club and they waved us over, so Zakk and the guys in Pride & Glory bought us some drinks for about an hour and and we all hung out til they closed the club on us. It was a blast. Got Vai's album signed by both Zakk and Steve. It was very cool.

I just got Ozzmosis thinking it was going to be like No More Tears but it isn't anywhere close. There are good songs but why the hell do the drums have so be so far up in the mix? The drumming is not impressive at all (why the hell wasn't Randy Castillo there ) but for some reason the drums are heard more clearly than the guitars. I know this was Ozzy's more personal album but it sounds like he wrote the lyrics before any of the other parts. I think I'll end up buying No Rest for the Wicked and Live and Loud to see if that is like the Zakk Wylde I know from other good albums he's made.

    I love Ozzy!

But I think his later material was not very good.

Ozzmosis was okay but I though Down to Earth was very weak.

I know some may not like it, but Bark at the Moon is one of my fave Ozzy albums.

But he just can't measure up to the songwriting and musical quality of the first two albums with Randy. Those were classics.

However, other than these two, I think the great Oz albums are:

    Bark at the Moon
    No Rest for the Wicked
    No More Tears

Sadly, Randy Castillo has passed away. Cancer, I believe.

One of the best drums solos I ever saw.
