    Bon Jovi thread

It is my honor to start the Bon Jovi thread on these boards. The intent of this thread is to discuss Bon Jovi.
    *****************************

I'll start by saying I got 1,000,000 Bon Jovi Fans Can't Be Wrong for the holidays. I finally got around to putting disc #1 in my cd player during my morning workout. Really interesting to hear demo version of Someday I'll Be Saturday Night. I can't wait to take in the rest of the music.

I wish there was information for each song on when it was recorded. I'd like to know which songs are pre-Keep The Faith days and which are post-KTF songs.

I'm a huge Bon Jovi fan. There stuff is great and the box set is awesome. I happen to think that the most underated song is "Lie To Me".

You're dead on. If I ever meet Jon Bon Jovi I'd say to him, "I know that it wasn't your most commercially successful album, but I think These Days is absolutely amazing."

Keep The Faith also has huge importance to me. I was in Israel on a semester abroad when it came out. I bought it on cassette there and listened to it in my walkman, most of the time while on a bus to somewhere. I'd have to say whenever I listen to KTF I'm reminded of images of Israel.

I like Bon Jovi a lot, but I'm really not familiar with their more recent stuff. But they've always been very fan-friendly, I've known a few people who are die-hard fans who have actually gotten to know them over the years. The band has a good memory in that way.

And when the spirit leads 'em, they can rock out with the best. "Roulette" and "Let It Rock", to this day, get my motor runnin'.

I'll never forget seeing them open for Ratt on the 7800 tour, they kicked all kinds of ass that night.

If any of you guys have never listened to "Something For The Pain" from These Days, do it. It has a hook that just will not leave your head — but in a good way.

I have a great recording of Jon & Richie covering "Here Comes The Sun" I forget when they performed it but it was at some awards show that was right after George Harrison died.

You should check out "Bounce". That's a heavy album even for them. Ritchie switched to Flying Vs on that one and got such a great sound out of it.

Bon Jovi was my first serious band I got into back in 1986 and I still love them to this day. I do have think it's because of that friendly and loyal fanbase that's kept alive and thriving up to today. I agree "These Days" and their debut "Bon Jovi" are great albums too and are very underrated.

    Wayne: ...and uh...VAN HALEN!!!
Garth: Wow. Van Halen. Who else?
    Bobby: Yeah, who else?
Wayne: Uh, an old man fashioning a kayak out of a log?

    Default Crush

I really like the Crush album...........and New Jersey.
the latest news is a new album in 2005 and a tour in 2006(early).

I'm playing guitar in a workshop band and we're doing "in Your Arms".

I saw them in 2003 in Jersey at Giants and it was sold out both nights.......
rained for 2 and a half hours the first time and everyone stood and I didn't see anyone leave. We were soaked.

Also, got to go on stage. It was an incredible experience to see 60,000
people from up there and get to slap Jon's hands.
They put on an incredible show and so don't miss it when they come around again.

    They are a blast live.

I've been a Bon Jovi fans from beginning and in my opinion Slippery and New Jersey are two of the best melodic hard rock ever but today Bon Jovi seems another band.
Crush, Bounce and even These Days are poor album. Nothing to compare with the old stuff.
Maybe i'm wrong but it's my opinion.

I like to think of These Days as Bon Jovi's "Balance" album. It's different, but kicks a lot of ass — if you like the melodic stuff anyway. Crush is better than Bounce, but they're by no means poor albums.

I don't write english well, sorry and maybe poor it's not the right word to use. I mean album with no big beat, without good rhtym and so on. It's hard for me to find the word. Sorry
