    The Alice Cooper thread!

I am a big Alice fan, I think most people would agree that his best songs were in the 70's. My favorite songs from that era are Billion Dollar Babies, I'm Eighteen, Escape, Go To Hell, Teenage Lament 74', The Ballad Of Dwight Fry and Welcome To My Nightmare. I do like some of his later stuff too. Like the Little Things, Lost In America, Poison, and Love's A Loaded Gun.

I got to see Alice live 2 years ago too, it was an awesome show, I hope that he keeps making albums and touring for years to come.

I think Alice is great. The original "shock rocker". Marilyn Manson's got NOTHIN' on the Coop!

Yeah Manson is a poor imitation of Alice. I don't even like any of Manson's songs.

I only have Alice's greatest hits, but I like every song on it. I've been meaning to buy more of his albums, but I forget. IMO one of his best songs is Feed My Frankenstein, which was on Wayne's World. Steve Vai plays the solo on it.

Has anyone listened to Alice's latest? "The Eyes of Alice Cooper" rocks pretty good. I really liked it a lot.

I got to see Alice at Halloween at the Arizona State Fair. That was a great show!! Alice can still rock with the best of them.

Damon Johnson from Brother Cane is now the other guitar player in the band along with Ryan Roxie.

Before Christmas - Alice does a benefit show here in Phoenix called "Alice Cooper's Christmas Pudding". He gets all kind of musical acts to play these things. This year he had a couple of christian singers, a bunch of local acts like the Gin Blossoms, Roger Clyne and the Peackers (best AZ. band ever), J.D. Simo, Glen Campbell, Cheap Trick, Ted Nugent and Damn Yankees. It was a really awesome show.

    Alice is just plain awesome!!!

I saw Cooper live too, during the Dragontown tour. I really like the metal Alice a lot. He just rules. Whatever the line up is, it's always good.

I just ordered Welcome to my Nightmare, I hope it's good!
    "Suck a fat one, faggot."
-MikeL, showing off that sharp wit of his.

"You may recognize some of these chemicals. Let's start with cyanide...The one the Aum Shinrikyo cult attempted to use to commit mass murder in a Tokyo subway in May 1995...The same cyanide produced routinely--1.4 million tons per year--for use in the production of plastics, adhesives, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and so on. It seems that those who put small amounts of cyanide in subways are terrorists. But those who produce it in mass quantities and contaminate broad reaches of soil, water, and air, killing countless living beings, are not terrorists, but rather capitalists, and are counted among the finest and most powerful people on the planet."

-Derrick Jensen, "What We Leave Behind"

"You know what's weird to me is Christians who are against the death penalty. After all, if it weren't for the death penalty, we wouldn't celebrate Easter!"

    -the late, great, Bill Hicks

Holy shit, 400 bucks for packages. He played over at the casino around here, and if you talked to the right guy, you were able to meet him.
