    The Queensryche thread!

I love Queensryche! Empire is their best album imo. I love the production in it. I wish they did another album that sounded like Empire. Their last album Tribe wasn't as good as their previous albums imo. I love the song Tribe though, it rocks hard! I heard they are making Operation Mindcrime 2, that should be interesting.

The Ryche is #2 right behind Van Halen for me. I LOVE these guys!!! Operation:Mindcrime and Rage for Order are thier best as far as I'm concerned but The Warning rocks hard as well..... Oh, fuck it.... I love all of their stuff!!! And I do agree... Empire is a great album!

Has anybody seen their tour yet this year? It's my understanding they are doing a full "Live Mindcrime".

Kickass band! I saw them live last October and they played the entire Mindcrime album. That was great because Mindcrime is one of my favorite albums of all-time. I just wish Chris DeGarmo would rejoin them.

I saw them in October, if they are still out GO SEE THEM. geoff's voice has not sounded this good for 10-15 years. I went in with low expectations compared to the orignal mid crime set (empire tour). and the empire tour is still my number 2 conert experince, but I was blown away this time around and had a blast. at the end they played a song from MindcrimeII. sounded pretty cool.

Empire is my favorite Queensryche album. The production on that one is really good but it's also very good on all of their other albums. I bought Operation: Mindcrime a few months ago but I actually haven't listened to it enough to really get into it yet. Since I saw all of the great reviews on OM, I got it but to me it doesn't seem to have lived up to the expectations. It's still a good album but it may take awhile to grow on me. I think I'll probably buy Promised Land and Operation: Mindcrime II next.

I'm seeing them in February and I'm totally psyched! I heard a recent bootleg and yes, Geoff does sound amesome. He really solidified his mid-range, and still can hit the screeching high pitches when he wants to. VHPoundcake, listen to "Mindcrime" a few more times. It takes awhile to get into, but you'll love it. One I often skipped because of the long intro was "Suite Sister Mary," but that may be the best song on there. I don't know how they got so inspired to make such a masterpiece, but it is truly one of the best albums I own.

    Default Queensryche

This Queensryche tour will blow you away - they play a few songs they don't normally play & they changed up a couple in the Mindcrime set. Geoff Tate is such an amazing vocalist & he keeps getting better! I can't wait for OM II!!!!

I have never seen Queensryche but that will change in about a week. I have been a casual fan but have had friends tell me that they kick some serious ass live so I guess I am in for a treat then?

Mindcrime and Empire are my fav albums by the Ryche.

I'm hoping Mindcrime II can live up to expectations, I hope it's an ass kicking record, although I'm not expecting it.

I agree with the above post since Empire their stuff has gone down hill IMO. Although Promised Land had some cool stuff especially "Damaged"

I saw the Ryche Friday was simply blown away by their show! Very professional but still a hell of a show to see. Geoff Tate does not run around on stage, I guess he saves his energy so he can hit them notes and he still can very well. Mindcrime the full on theatrical production was incredible, I am too kind of anxious to hear how Mindcrime II is going to sound, I heard a preview of one song and it sounded really good.

I loved all their albums up to Promised Land.

But my favorite album is Rage for Order. Its just so different and you can totallly hear how alot of european prog bands are influenced by it.

Seen them around 4 times live and they are always great live.

Does that include Promised Land? That record is highly underrated. I guess it was released around the time of "grunge" and was overshadowed.
I really didn't care for any of the records since then, but I do wish Chris would return (full time) to the band. How can they make a "Mindcrime II" without him?!?
