Brett, your friends nephews answers are all wrong. He will be rejected. Especially if he's white.
Sammy did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it.
Michael did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it.

Q: who was the biggest douche that you have worked with?

A: Eddie Van Halen hands down he threatened all the stage hands that if we wernt all pushed to the side when he got off stage that he would "bash our faces in"

Now the new David-Lee-Roth-Van Halen album, “Tokyo Dome In Concert,” is available for purchase, and it’s super, super, super, super, super, super, crazy bad. - Doug Elfman

    Nice score!

So the thread about best albums of 2018 got me thinking.

How many of you guys that are 50 or over listen to the bands of today? The last band I had any interest in was Shinedown. This was about the time they opened for Van Halen on the 2004 tour. That all changed when I felt their music, and look changed. Too hipster looking for my liking now.

Music has always been personal with me. A journey . I imagine it's like that for most folks. I simply can't identify with what musicians my kids age are playing. It doesn't speak to me, because it's not for me. I know that seems close minded, but that is truly the way I feel. I'd be curious to hear some feedback from some of you older linkers..

I have been listening to Gretta Van Fleet on you tube

    Yeah, its electric.

I've already done a flank steak and a pork sirloin on it and both came out magnificent.

I'm thinking of trying a brisket this weekend, we'll see.

I make a point to actively seek out new music. I gave up on the radio as a source to inform me a long time ago.

I listen to the morning show over at https://www.kexp.org/playlist/ and http://chirpradio.org/ the rest of the time. The DJs get to program their own shows. Like anything, there are some songs that are clunkers. For the most part I like what I hear.

I'm listening to new music all the time, in that it is music that is new to me.

I am going back in time instead of forward in time though, going through the back catalogs of artists that I like but know little about past the hits.
Taylor Swift is nice to look at. Adele can sing.

Emperor Brett - "I can't believe you guys are analyzing song-by-song Van Halen III? What next, analyzing the script of Stroker Ace looking for some shred of Citizen Kane?"

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

A man's rights rests in three boxes: the ballot box, the jury box, and the cartridge box

Hurricane Halen - Let's all gingery touch our sword tips!!!
