Why do some of you copy and paste an ENTIRE article and then at the bottom, post the link?

    It's redundant.

Just got home from seeing Kip Winger in a small room here in Knoxville. The guy has a freakin' powerful set of pipes still, an really plays guitar well, and pretty funny!

How hard is it to run down a hallway without injuring yourself if you think someone is in your room? Unless you're drunk or on drugs in which case that's your problem.

yeah electric shock drowning is a thing. and there are probably way more incidences of it than are reported.

there was a spate of them awhile back involving swimming pools as aged pools were causing problems when fitting around light fixtures corroded. and recently Marina and Dock age did an article about the new NEC regulations for 2017 that require more GFCI coverage. Problem is that states don't have to adopt it so the codes for marina wiring will vary from jurisdiction to jurisdiction. But one of the problems is that even with the marina having GFCI protection, if a boat plugged into the system had "electrical leakage" there is not necessarily protection thru the marinas GFCI system depending on how the marina installs them. It's expensive to retrofit each pedestal and it's tricky because you don't want lots of outages in your marina due to false tripping. So if no one is forcing older marinas to do anything nothing will be done. A few years back I received notice from the Ohio Department of Health that marina licensing and therefor inspections was being taken away from the health department. They just said "we hope you will continue to use our guidelines in operation" To this date I have not been informed of any other agency taking over licensing or any other agency doing inspections. So my little marina (really just a few docks) has not been inspected in years nor I assume have any of my neighboring marinas been inspected

scary thing about this is the electric current can carry so far from the source and nothing really happens until as in this case, someone lowers a ladder or someone touches a dock or platform while exiting the water

She was warned. She was given an explanation. Nevertheless, she persisted.

Never swim around marinas. I was told this as a child too.

Every time I start to think that it's only Americans that are idiots I read something like this:

    https://www.theguardian.com/world/20...araoke-dispute

Really? A guy goes on a stabbing rampage at a wedding over a dispute about fucking karaoke?

I guess the guy hasn't seen some of the reviews of Dave's singing if he took that much offense to a critique of his "performance."

Karaoke is popular across Vietnam, and the singing sessions are often fuelled by heavy alcohol consumption.

I thought that was common knowledge. Every karaoke session I've been involved in was fueled by heavy alcohol consumption. Not something you necessarily want to clearly remember the next day.

Just got back from watching the procession of the murdered Sheriff deputy's body being returned from Montana. All of the over passes had local folks, fire, police and ems showing support for the family.

Watched coverage of the memorial service in Montana Tuesday and the reporter said in car footage showed he was shot while in pursuit and the scum turned around, came back to where he was stopped and murdered him. Sickening.
