This was posted at sammyhagar@yahoogroups, and I believe vh@yahoogroups as well:

Here's 1 track by Sammy and 1 track by Dave from the 'Sam and Dave' Kick Off Show in Cleveland from May 29, 2002.

Sammy Hagar & The Waboritas - One Way To Rock

David Lee Roth - Little Dreamer

No, I didn't record them. But, they sound pretty damn good for an audience recording. Enjoy them, everyone.
"Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that."

"This is a lttle prayer dedicated to the separation of church and state. I guess if they are going to force those kids to pray in schools they might as well have a nice prayer like this: Our Father who art in heaven, and to the republic for which it stands, thy kingdom come, one nation indivisible as in heaven, give us this day as we forgive those who so proudly we hail. Crown thy good into temptation but deliver us from the twilight's last gleaming. Amen and Awomen. ."

"I think it's the duty of the comedian to find out where the line is drawn and cross it deliberately."

-George Carlin 1937 - 2008

Wow, excellent...Sammy's a little more muffled, but both guys and their bands sound excellent. I'm surprised Dave can still hold those "Yeah...Yeah!!!!" He sounded strong in that recording. Sammy always sounds good

Does anyone know where to get more songs from the Cleveland show? I am searching for any audio/vids of this particular show. Any help would be awesome!!!!! Thanks so much for the links to these 2 tracks!
"'DLR Band' means Dave, Lowery, and Ray. I named it that because it sounds more like a band then 'David Lee Roth', which just sounds like a person. When you hear 'David Lee Roth'--you think of a person. When you hear 'DLR Band'--you think of a band. Just like when you hear 'Eddie Van Halen' you think of a person, and when you hear 'Van Halen'--you think of David Lee Roth." - Diamond David Lee Roth

That is EASILY the best I've heard Dave sound in a LONG time. Now I'm just itching to hear these Chicago mp3's to see what the deal is on the more aggressive material.

See Glenn...Dave isn't quite as washed up as some people think.

WOW!!! Dave sounded awesome!!! Pissed I didn't go to the show now. Hopefully he will swing by Pittsburgh later this summer.

Listened to Sam's too... Sounded a little fuzzy but what I could hear sounded great as well. Sounded almost as good as when Eddie used to play it-ALMOST

Is everyone tone deaf? David is so off key it's embarrassing. I don't care how good the lead guitarist is he still can't cover up weak lead vocals. Don't get me wrong, I love DLR but the guy has got to hit the right notes. For the kind of money everyone is forking out to see this duel, you would think that Dave would at least get the pitch right. I don't favor Sammy over Dave in general, but hell, Sammy does sing in tune and he's even playing guitar at the same time. I saw the St. Louis show and it was the same there. Go see and make up your own mind. Thanks for posting the clips.
