They are gracing the lid of the newest issue. It's great, they take up about 80% of the thing. One huge picture of Roth on the left, sitting in a big yellow chair, holding up one finger, dressed in metallic purple. One huge picture of Hagar, one of the coolest I've ever seen. He's dressed in all black, jumping into the air, knees in his stomach, holding RED guitar.

Paul Gargano calls it "The Hottest Summer Tour". There's a huge inside spread on both. Much of it is stuff we've already read, seen, heard...but there's also some other tidbits that are fresh. Gargano tells Hagar he is as big a Dave fan there is out there...but admits Sam's era was the most commercially successful. Incorrect, I know. Please don't go in this direction.

All in all, it's a pretty good have. I haven't bought an issue of "Metal Edge" since '95, during Balance. Check it out!

    Well, here we go again.

Seriously, I bought the rag alot in the late 90's but the bands were getting too weird. I'll pick up this one.

Must be looking at them out of order. Sam wouldn't stand for that.

Sorry for the technical difficulty but everybody knows that folks from Alabama have trouble with the I'net. Anyway, what I was getting at, is that the last several reviews I have read, all had DLR headlining. I know Sammy wouldn't stand for this, I just want to know the last show in comparison that Sammy headlined.

Roth and Hagar on the cover! When was the last time either one of them graced a cover (that wasn't a retrospect)? I can't wait to see them in August.

What would be amazing is if Rolling Stone (albeit pretty much crap nowadays) whould even mention that Roth/Hagar are on tour. I admit I haven't seen an issue in about a month but I know none of the issues that came out during the tour announcement had a word about it.

They had a small blurb on it right after the initial press conference, but you know Rolling Stone, if it's not Creed or Britney, it's not newsworthy.....

Same here. I bought the new issue but they messed up the interview big time. They reprinted the first page and didn't even finish the interview. Nice pictures and information, though.

Did anyone else get the impression that Sammy IS interested in rejoining only if Eddie calls him, and they jam and they still have "IT"?

That was the first quote I have seen from Sam that he would seriously consider rejoining VH. As to all his past comments that he is happy with the Waboritas. He claims that he doesn't need the money or to play big arenas again, but we all know thats total BS.

As far as gracing magazine covers, it does take you back to the mid 80's a bit, doesn't it?
