Well any one wonders why I got here so fast... Well I told you I live 5 miles from DTE.

Remind me to tell you what I got from a great friend of mine just before the show.

I have to tell you I hadf a great time tonight. It was the first time since the Balance tour that I felt at home.

Dave opened pure Dave It was the first time I had seen him in 18 years. Boy did I forget what it felt like to have a showman in front of my eyes. This guy pulled no punches. He did just what I remembered. Flashy and to the point. He came out in his silver suit. And made himself known. His vocals were outstanding. Great range and didn't flub once. He brought back the early 80's for me. Thank You Dave. I can't believe the brothers are second guessing themselves. I can barely control myself.

Set list

Hot for teacher
Panama
And the cradle will rock
Mean Street
Dance the night away
Runnin with the devil
I'm the one
Euruption(No one liked him doing this)
You really got me
Beutiful girls

Pretty Woman
Yankee Rose
Ice Cream man
Everybody wants some
Unchained
Ain't talin bout love
Encore(if that's what you would call it)
Jump

My son(3 almost 4) got so into it. I was so proud of him.

If you don't have Tickets to your town yet. Get them just for Dave alone. He Knows what he is doing.

Sammy came out vintage Sammy. I have always thought Sammy gave Van Halen one level up on most acts of the same time period. Well he one uped VH tonight.
I've gone to alot of Sammy shows since he left VH. And I have not heard him play as much Van Hagar as tonight. What a rush. I had such a great time tonight. My son who I would have to believe is a Dave fan, Danced more to Sammy than Dave. He put on a vintage Sammy show in his Cabo Wabo style. People on stage, beutiful women serving drinks, and Sammy working his ass off to please the crowd.

Ted Nuggent and Kid Rock Intro'ed Sammy

Sammy's set list

I wish I could tell you what Sammy played first but I took My son to the bathroom, so any help would be great.
I guess it was Red.
Runaround
Three lock box
One way to rock
Give to live
Top of the world
Why can't this be love

Right now

Like I said earlyer I haven't felt this good about a show in a long time. Go see this thig and bring your kids. Let's keep VH alive.

Oh yeah geuss what my friend Sreamin Scott Randle(A DJ at WRIF) gave me....

Daves Barbeque video. I'll update you on that after I see it tomarrow.

I have to goto bed now.

i was at the show tonight i have a couple of things to add ...

1. crowd was dead for dave loud chants for red wings durning his set
2. crowd went nuts seeing ted nugent play at end of sammys set ( where was kid rock?????)
over all i think sammy got the better reaction compared to dave i would have liked seeing dave close to see if theres any difference
3. would have been nice if dave came back out at the end for a little jam with nugent and sammy

my bet is this tour doesnt last for more than 15 shows

Dimoncutr forgot one of the highlights of the evening. Ted Nugent came out and the end of Sammy's encores and jammed with the Waboritas, doing a rockin version of Wild Thing.

I thought the same thing re. crowd response for Dave. Again, it's a more recent Van Halen generational fanbase in attendance today. 'Many variables that go into this, but yeah, I know how ya feel.

Sweaty Teddy jammin' with Sammy ? That's cool as fuck ! Yeah, where was the Kid ?
That's Mean Street for him, too !
