Folks it's that time of the year to go on hayrides, drink hard cider, and read/tell scarey stories.

If you're in the mood for a few shivers try one or all of these short stories.

    Not in any particular order.

    1) "The Boogeyman". By Stephen King

    2) "One for the Road" (though, you might what to read 'Salems Lot first, but, if ya don't, this story stands just fine on it's own). By Stephen King

    3)"Enoch." By Robert Bloch

    4) "Yours Truely, Jack the Ripper." By Robert Bloch

    5) "The Wendigo." By Algernon Blackwood

    6) "The Willows." By Algernon Blackwood

These are just some of my personal favorites. Post if you have any suggestions.

I read. I'm in the middle of Atlas Shrugged, for the second, time by Ayn Rand. I just think your scary story stuff is gay but I thought I would be polite and keep my comments to myself out of respect. BUT, since you gotta call us lunkheads....what kind of queer actually gets into that shit when they hit adulthood anyways?!?!

Ray Bradbury wrote a lot of great ones, but my favorite SCARY short story is his

    "There Will Come Soft Rains."

THAT is a very scary story in the vein of "Brave New World" and "1984" (the book ) And DIF thinks the title sounds porno-ish. So check it out.
