Scott Stapp has been given the go-ahead from doctors to hit the road, and that is exactly what he's going to do.

After postponing the initial second leg of the Weathered tour due to the singer's back injury in a car accident on April 19 ,Creed have rescheduled the tour to begin July 11 in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

The new 30-date second leg will make up canceled shows in Indianapolis; Fargo, North Dakota; and Moline, Illinois; on a jaunt mainly through the Midwest and Northeast.

Creed have also scheduled a third leg that will begin September 20 in San Antonio, Texas, and make up canceled shows in several cities. Venues, on-sale dates and openers have not been announced for those dates.

FRED DURST: FILTER's RICHARD PATRICK Is An Ungrateful Sack Of Shit - May 31, 2002

LIMP BIZKIT singer Fred Durst has slammed FILTER mainman Richard Patrick over a comment Patrick made about Durst and his trying to get together with Christina Aguilera.

"Patrick was like, 'Fred fucking ruined the credibility of rock 'n' roll,' Fucking asshole," said Durst in an interview featured in the July 2002 issue of Playboy. "I took his ass on the Family Values tour when no one wanted me to. I believed in his record. I'm a huge FILTER fan. That guy's an ungrateful sack of shit. Fucking put that in bold letters, man. It's bullshit the way some people are so two-faced? How did I ruin rock 'n' roll?"

    Bitch........

    Courtney Love’s Trouble
We recently reported on the split of the Courtney Love-lead Hole, and the legal problems that encouraged it. Well, Love was in court yesterday to deal with some of those legal issues. A June 11th hearing was set up yesterday in court to hear the arguments behind the suit and counter-suit that Love and Geffen Records are bringing against each other. The suits began when Geffen launched a lawsuit against Love for breach of contract claiming she and Hole owed them five more albums. Love then counter sued claiming the suit was unconstitutional. However, a major part of Love’s argument against the label was recently thrown out by the presiding judge. A spokesperson for Geffen was quick to speak out about the legal battles with Love, saying, “We find it amazing that even in defeat Courtney Love attempts to claim victory.”

    Black Crowes Live Album Due

Robinson brothers busy on other projects

The Black Crowes will release their first proper live album on August 27th. The tracks were taken from the band's two-night tour finale at Boston's Orpheum, October 30th and 31st of last year. After the tour, the Crowes went on indefinite hiatus after drummer Steve Gorman quit.
"The shows were going so well, I just thought it would be great to record a live album," says guitarist Rich Robinson. "We were all playing well together with great set lists spanning all of our albums. We had almost five hours of music to sift through."

Whereas the Black Crowes' first live album, Live at the Greek -- a double-disc collaborative effort with former Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page -- focused on Led Zeppelin covers and blues standards, the upcoming album puts the emphasis squarely on the band's own material.

"I love our shows," Robinson continues. "Each night is so different because of the songs we play and the order they're in. It's always cool to hear the shows because of all the nuances that change from day to day. Basically, this album is us doing what we do best, playing live."

Robinson is using his time away from the band to write movie scores, while brother Chris is readying the debut album from his new project New Earth Mud for the fall. The singer plans to debut some of the material on a short acoustic tour set to begin June 19th at New York City's Bowery Ballroom.

Indiana Jones and the "Majestic" Director
    by Josh Grossberg
    May 31, 2002, 2:00 PM PT

It looks like Frank Darabont will be keeping up with the Joneses.

The writer-director behind The Majestic, who also was nominated for an Oscar for writing both 1995's The Shawshank Redemption and 2000's The Green Mile, is expected to sign on to pen the screenplay for the eagerly awaited fourth Indiana Jones movie, Daily Variety reports.

Sources at Paramount Pictures say the sequel, which will most likely go before the cameras sometime in 2004, is being targeted for a July 4, 2005 release.

That's great news for Indy fans, who've been wondering when producer George Lucas, director Steven Spielberg and star Harrison Ford would ever get around to filming the long-awaited sequel, which they've been promising as far back as 1993.

But in the last year or so, it seems the project has started gathering some momentum.

With Ford saying he'd be more than willing to dust off that old fedora as the famed archeologist in search of fortune and glory one last time, a spokesman for Spielberg told E! Online in January that the trio hatched a solid story and were just looking for the right scribe to write the latest installment.

After approaching the likes of Sixth Sense director M. Night Shyamalan and Shakespeare In Love Oscar-winning writer Tom Stoppard, Lucas and Spielberg gave their blessings to Darabont, who has a long history of collaborating with the filmmakers on a variety of projects.

He's also no stranger to Indy, having written several episodes of The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles during the 1992-1993 television season, the made-for-TV movies The Adventures of Young Indiana Jones, starring Sean Patrick Flannery, as well as the series Young Indiana Jones Travels With Father, alongside Jonathan Hales, Lucas's cowriter on Star wars: Episode II--Attack of the Clones.

Darabont also was an uncredited writer on Spielberg's upcoming sci-fi thriller Minority Report, due out this June, and the two had talked about working together again in a more official manner.

No word yet on what the new Indy flick will be about, but Spielberg did drop hints to Fox News during last January's Golden Globe awards that his wife, actress Kate Capshaw (who played Willie Scott, Indy's damsel in distress in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom) would be featured in a cameo.

Of course, the reason it's taken so long to get the Man In the Hat back on the big screen is because of the conflicting schedules of all three principals--Lucas has been busy working on his epic Star Wars prequels, while both Spielberg and Ford had been busy making other movies until Lucas could come up with a good enough story.

Now that he apparently has, it's up to Darabont to unearth the script--which by the time that he's through, might make Indy a very geriatric adventurer, indeed. (Though, as Indy would say, "it's not the years, honey, it's the mileage.")

The AARP-eligible Ford will be a mere 62 by the time the movie hits theaters, prompting more than a few cracks among Indy fans Friday on metafilter.com's message board.

"Isn't Harrison Ford a bit, um, old for this? Or will Ben Affleck be playing his character too?" quipped one fan named brownpau, alluding to Affleck taking over Ford's Jack Ryan role in The Sum of All Fears.

Added another: "Indiana Jones fans better hope they won't wait another 10 years for Episode V--Ford will be, like, 77."

Others were merely trying to figure out the rest of the math. "So the new movie will come out 24 years after Raiders came to theatres in 1981...Since raiders was set in 1936, this new movie should take place around 1960, right?" wondered bobo123.

God, it's a funny joke, but I sure hope Affleck doesn't take over for FORD as Indiana Jones. Seeing Affleck as Ryan in the promos for "The Sum Of All Fears" was cringe-inducing...Whenever Affleck speaks, he kind of strikes me as a kid reading a report to his sixth grade class. Though on the bright side, he's got the perfect cover--there's no way someone could seriously mistake that lunkhead for a CIA man.

Steven Spielberg talks Indiana Jones 4
    Sunday, June 2, 2002 7:53 CDT

Cinescape spoke with Steven Spielberg about Indiana Jones 4. He confirmed that Frank Darabont is writing the script:

“The status is that Frank Darabont is starting – he’s writing the screenplay,” Spielberg told us about THE GREEN MILE, THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION writer/director. Darabont also wrote for the now-defunct YOUNG INDIANA JONES series and just did an uncredited rewrite on MINORITY REPORT. “We just made Frank’s deal two weeks ago. We have the story, which is a story George Lucas wrote. It’s a wonderful story. We have Harrison Ford, who’s approved the story. He’s ready to perform in the movie.”

He also confirmed the timetable for shooting the fourth chapter of the action-adventure series, “The movie’s going to be shot probably in May of 2004. When I say probably, it could be April or May of 2004 and the movie’s going to come out probably for the July 4th weekend of 2005, because the last STAR WARS is going to come out the week before Memorial Day 2005. So we’re coordinating this to be a one-two punch with the last STAR WARS coming out in 2005 in May and INDIANA JONES 4 coming out 2005, probably June 29th or July 4th.”

While that gives hope to fans of the highest grossing adventure series in history, more than a few fans wonder about Ford’s advancing years, given it will be almost 25 years since RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK before INDY 4 hits screens.

    What does Spielberg think?

“Harrison Ford can still kick the s**t out of most people half his age,” Spielberg told us. “I think he’s in great condition to put the fedora and the hat and the leather jacket back on and crack that bullwhip a few more times.”
".....and Harry Potter and all of his wizard-friends went to Hell for practicing Witchcraft. The End." -Ned Flander's version of reading "Harry Potter" to Rod and Todd.

FILTER's RICHARD PATRICK: FRED DURST Needs Psychiatric Help - June 3, 2002

FILTER leader Richard Patrick has slammed LIMP BIZKIT frontman Fred Durst over the latter's remarks in the July 2002 issue of Playboy magazine where Durst referred to Patrick as "an ungrateful sack of shit". "It seems Fred Durst and I have a little problem," Patrick writes on FILTER's official web site. "I'm a little offended about what he said about me in the recent Playboy magazine. Fred, I hate to say this, but you need psychiatric help. Everyone that is good, you shit on, you think the world is according to Fred Durst and Fred Durst alone, and that's why Wes [Borland] (the main musical genius of LIMP BIZKIT) left you. I thought I made up with you at the PUDDLE OF MUDD concert, and I thought everything was cool, but apparently not. If you e-mail me, I would be proud to find doctors that specialize in psychiatric help for you. Mental illness is nothing to be laughed at, and you're obviously suffering from some serious bitterness or clinical depression towards the world. All my best to you, because I still love your band and I still love you. I just hope you seek the help that you need. Love, Richard Patrick."
