There are alot of profesional athletes that come to mind but Kirby Pucket remains a all time favoright of mine. Kirby is a Leader on and off the field and a hell of a good guy. Everyone becoming a pro athlete in any sport should have to sit and listen to Kirby's take on pro athletics.

Walter Payton. There will never be anyone else with that much class (let alone heart) in sports ever again.

I gotta say Emmitt Smith. The guy has always been above the down and dirty aspect of today's football. He has played with his arm barely attached (Giants game, Dec 94?). He isn't the best, but he has achieved greatness and will soon be the rushing champ of the league.

Jaybird, I could not agree with you more. Besides being the best all around football player ever, what he has made a huge charitable impact in the Chicago area especially with his death, organ donation has tripled or something like that in Illinois. God Bless Walter!

    Tony Gwynn.

Tony is the man. 20 years in San Diego this year, plenty of hits to back him up, and ranks among the classiest in professional sports.

I am a diehard Charger fan, probably the only one in New York. Forever being bullied by Giants and Jets fans. I must say that CRYIN RYAN LEAF is the worst QB I have ever seen in the NFL in my lifetime. He is the biggest baby, the biggest loser, and the most overpaid unskilled QB I have ever seen. Now the Chargers have had only three really good to great QB's in their history: Fouts, Humphries, and Kemp. If you throw a list together that includes McMahon, Malone, Tolliver,Harbaugh, Wheelihan and Kramer at the Charger helm, it is pretty sad you are the bottom of that list.

LEAF IS THE VOTE FOR WORST ATHLETE EVER!!!

Without a doubt the athelete that I admire the most is Ray Bourque. He is the epitomy of a class athelete and even though he will not end his career in a Bruins uniform there is no doubt in my mind that he still bleeds the black and gold. IMO he is the best defenseman of all time. Some other atheletes that I admire alot.

    Larry Bird
    Joe Montana
    Brett Favre
    Cam Neely
    Greg Norman
    Magic Johnson

Man, me too. Back in the day, I think that was the best offense EVER in the NFL. Fouts, Muncie, Joiner, Chandler. Man, what a powerhouse offense!! If they had ANY defense at all, that would have been the team of the century man. Loved to watch that team play. Still love the Chargers because of that team.
