Is it too early for this? Well, Spring Training begins at the end of the month, so might as well begin discussion with your preseason picks, and let's get ready for another fun year of baseball.

Here we go.

American League

East

Yankees
Red Sox
Blue Jays
Orioles
Devil Rays

Central

White Sox
Twins
Indians
Tigers
Royals

West

Rangers
Mariners
Angels
A's

National League

East

Mets
Braves
Phillies
Marlins
Expos

Central

Cardinals
Cubs
Astros
Brewers
Reds
Pirates

West

Diamondbacks
Giants
Rockies
Dodgers
Padres
CHICAGO WHITE SOX - 2005 WORLD CHAMPIONS

The Chicago White Sox (1901-present) - The Original SOX - Proof

The Boston Americans (1901)
The Boston Somersets (1902)
The Boston Pilgrims (1903-1906)
The Boston Red Sox (1907-present) - Proof

The Pilgrims/Americans/Somersets whatever you want to call them, have NEVER displayed "SOX" anywhere on their caps, jerseys, or merchandise, therefore they shouldn't be referred to as such. However, the White Sox have used "SOX" since 1912.

The SOX are in Chicago...we just allow the Pilgrims/Americans/Somersets to use the name.

Its never to early to shoot the shit about baseball IMHO.

The Rangers!! are you fucking kidding me?? How do you figure this??

They have done very little to improve the pitching situation. Everett and Rocker are going to kill each other, both of these guys are club house cancers!! One or both will be gone before the end of the season.

A-Rod will do what he does, he is the best in the league IMO. The have a great offense but still a weak pitching staff. The Rangers will finish at best Third in the AL West.
((Just My Two Cents))
And thats about what its worth.

I figured you being a Mariners fan, this would be a debate.

But...

Never fear, your team will still make the playoffs. I just think the Rangers will be a better team. They have probably the best offense in the AL, and even signing a guy like Chan Ho Park, is an improvement from Rick Helling.

Oakland is done for. No way, are they gonna do what they did last year. Seattle had a team full of career years. If they do it again....which I think they can, that is..make the playoffs, then I'll be right on. But win 110+ wins again? No way.

They're gonna come down to Earth. The Angels are the team that has IMPROVED the most this season, so look for them to be a sneaker in all of this.

For now, I'm still picking the Rangers.

This is more like it. Hopefully the Patriots have started a trend in New England.

No major injuries and a healthy pedro and we can hang. I'm stoked!

Pabs,

Cant really argue with those early picks. There is always a suprise though. Being a season ticket holder in a small market, I try to look for positives. Like hoping the Bucs can at least skate past the Reds and Brewers into 4th place in the NL Central.

Pabs,

Wait, I decided to argue that A's in last place prediction. I know that there is a lot of strong teams here, and the A's lost Giambi. But they still have a lot of top quality starting pitching. Of course since this is only a four team division, last place may be 81-81.

On a second note, can you believe this garbage with the Montreal Expos? Major League Baseball is going to be operating them this year as a lame duck team. What kind of ball are they going play in that situation? Any trade they make is going to be looked at with great scrutiny. What happens by some miracle if the Brewers are in contention, and the Expos trade them Vlad Gurrerro for a 6 pack of icyhot. Talk about conflict of interest.

I don't know Dog.

The Expos are a weird team. I just don't know how to answer anything relating to them. They'll be gone after this season for sure.

Too early to tell what anyone's gonna do.

As for Les Expos, I think they need to tell Mr. Angelos to "sit down" and allow someone to buy the team and move them to the D.C. area. Just don't call 'em the Senators!

Here are my pics. the East will be the same as it has been for the past few yaers with the Yank's and the Sox being 1-2, but watch out for Toronto because they have the sluggers and Boston always fucks somthing up. the Central will fianlly see the demise of the Indians this yaer the White Sox and the Twins will fight it out all year for probally the most entertining pennent race. the west will have the M's winning but only winning 95-100 games. the rangers will do sqaut this yaer because they have the worst makeup of the game. the a's will lose the leadership the Giambi so all you have is a team of 25 Year Olds that won't be able to keep their mind on the game. the angles are young team with a bright side. The NL east will see the Greatest team ever in the Braves win and take it all this yaer. the mets will do good this year but will fall to the braves like they do every year. The central will have the cards coming out but thats about it the cubs will find a way to lose and houston is always off and on. the giants will win this year in the west. The diamoundbacks year was last year and age is creeping up so they'll have to settal for 2nd. the wild cards will be the twins and the Mets with the Mariners and The Braves Making it to the series and The Braves WILL be winning it all this year...

I do hope the people of Minnesota come out and show their support this year. Would be a shame for them to lie down quietly and let Selig win...
