Well, it's official. Michael Jordan is coming back to the NBA. What do you guys think of this? How big of an impact will he have? Will he really make the Wizards that much better? Either way, I'm glad to see him back. I really think it'll add some excitement to the league, especially to some of the games that would have otherwise been largely unimportant. I've only been an avid Wizards fan, living in Baltimore, as they are the closest thing we've got to a "home" team, but I've always loved Jordan so I'll be a lot more interested in the NBA again this year. Should be interesting!

Yawn.

He's worse than Ki$$ when it comes to staying retired.

Now that it's official, I look forward to seeing him play. But I'm disappointed that he's returning. I was a huge fan of his, and of the legacy he left behind by retiring (the second time ) when he did. It just couldn't have been written any better than it was; last steal, last shot, third consecutive championship for the second time.

All he can do now is taint that legacy a little. I agree that it can't erase what he did in the past, but I do believe it will lessen the shine on his legacy in the long run.

I agree with what Glenn said. I will certianly watch him (and millions of others will too) AND I am sure the ratings for basketball games with him playing will go up....

BUT, I think he will tarnish his shine, so to speak. You simply just can't top the way he ended his career a few years ago. And now he is gonna tarnish his shine, by returning as a lesser powerful player, older and slower.......

Having said that: I'd love to see Michael prove my above paragraph wrong. But I doubt it...

i completely agree with glenn and BC, it'll tarnish his shine a little.
that being said, i'm still 100 percent in support of him returning, because what it really boils down to is that he wants to play. if he wants to play, let him play, it's really that simple, if you ask me.

Screw Jordan. No, not really, but c'mon.
Stuff No More's comment is priceless.

Just when I thought it was over, I have to hear Jordan this and Jordan that for the next 2 years. I'm not an NBA fan (duh), and I don't appreciate him clogging up Sportcenter when there are plenty of newsworthy NHL games being played this winter.

Don't even get me started on his naming of ESPN's Athelete of the Century debacle. The guy couldn't hit a AA curveball, much less a fastball. What a sham that was.

As you can tell, this is quite a sore spot with me.
