In my opinon this could be the best solo album he has ever done. And I'm not just saying that because it came out today, or because I'm a huge Hagar fan.

The songs are strong and very catchy. The tunes are very well thought out, and on songs like 'JuJu', 'Deeper Kinda Love', 'Capricorn' and 'Message' the melodies that begin to filter in towards the end are excellent. I know it's always been a trademark for Sam to have laughable lyrics at times, but I don't really here any on this album. Sammy has gained alot of respect from me with this effort. I think it easily blows away both MTM and Voddoo. I know it's always the thing to say when a new album comes out. "Oh this shit blows everything else away!" (same stuff Warner Brothers was saying during the making of the second VH-Cherone album. Whatever.)

Its ashame that this album will probably not get much attention beyond rock-radio. It's worthy of recognition. I think Sam has really over-achieved on this one. And when it comes to a rock-ballad, there's no one better than Hagar. No one has ever given me goose-bumps when they sing with emotion like Sam. 'Capricorn' is so uplifting.

I know that I've already listened to 10-13 more in one day than I ever listened to '3'.

I think even anti-Hagar have to be impressed with this album. There are some throw-away tunes like the title track, but all in all this album is a more pleasant surprise than how well the Saint's are playing right now.

I totally agree. I liked ten13 instantly and I normally don't take to a new cd that quickly--regardless of who made it. I think it's one of if not his best solo projects.

    I totally agree 100%

The more I listen to this CD the more and more I like it.

The only song I really don't like is the title track. Other than that every song is decent and some EXCELLENT.

I'm listening to it right now

Even though people will laugh, I especially liek the ballads on this one: Tropic Of Capricorn is wonderful. Fills me with good feelings! And Deeper Kinda Love and Little Bit More are better the more I listen to them!

Then there are some AWESOME rockers on here Like: Shaka Doobie, Let Sally Drive (AWESOME) and Protection and Serious Ju Ju....

Then there is my all time favorite:

3 In The Middle might just be the best solo song Hagar has EVER done! I'm serious!

Last time I got this into a rocker that Sammy sings lead vocals on was 1996....

...Everyone here should know what song I'm referring to...

    THUMBS UP for Ten 13!!!

I want to say that I too like what I've heard so far on 10/13. I just bought it today so I'm getting aquainted with it as I speak. It definately JAMS!!!! I also wanted to say one other thing regarding Red VooDoo, I think it rocked. Some have given it a little criticizm. I just wanted to defend it and say it was also a great CD. I don't have Marching to Mars yet so I can't voice an opinion on that one yet. Anyway, Sammy has proven once again he is the MAN!!!!!!!!

    CyrBuzz.....

I wouldn't say that I thought Red Voodoo was bad...just not as good as Marching To Mars IMHO....

But I will say that RV does have several tracks that I really like. My favorite on there is probably "Right On Right"

    that song ROCKS!!!

I haven't got Marching to Mars yet, but I hope to pick it up soon. I'm only familiar with the cover song and Little White Lie. They are pretty good songs.

It's been three days now, and I can't stop listening to this CD. I agree with the above posts. This is an absolutely fantastic album. I especially like JuJu, The Message, Deeper Kind of Love, Little Bit More and Tropic of Capricorn
