Not, yet. I plan to see it next weekend. How was it compared to the first one??? Was it disturbing in a good way or a bad way?

    Hi LOF...

I personally didn't like it as much as the first one, but it was still very good. I would check it out if I were you. Hopkins is just as awesome in this one as the last!! But I liked Jodie Foster better than Julienne Moore, and I liked the story line of the last one better too. Ray Liotta does a great job in this flick. (I loved him in Goodfellas.) It was disturbing in a very gory way, so wether thats good or bad depends on the viewer. (I closed my eyes... a lot) Not for those with weak stomachs!!! Probably not a good idea to eat right before the movie, like I did. Have fun.

I want to see it and prob will. Gorey is good in my book. I heard on E! that the director almost backed out of it cause he thought the book was to distastefull or something.

This is a movie that I'm interested to see, but I'm deliberately not watching any of the commercials on it. For some reason it seems like it will ruin it to see any of the ads. I want to see it without any pre-concieved notion of what will happen.

Just saw it tonite. A very good movie, but does not compare to the first one. "Silence" had a very creepy feel to it without being real gory. Hanibal had to go to the gore to give it that creepy feeling. I ain't ragging it, it was good, just in a different way. Don't challenge Ray Liotta to a battle of the brains.

I saw this today. I thought it was really good. I agree that Jodie Foster was better than Julianne Moore.

Ofcourse nothing compares to the original, but this is really good! Check it out! Not for the weak stomached though

i did not like it at all...it dragged for awhile. the part where the guys brain was exposed was laim, it didn;t even look good. with the first movie as good as it was, it was a tough act to follow. to me, it was just another one of those serial killer movies.

Actually the first movie was Manhunter, Silence was the 2nd! Anthony Hopkins didn't play Hannibal in the 1st one though.

Yep. Silence of the Lambs was much better than Hannibal. Plus, I liked Jodie Foster better than Julian Moore. The sets were pretty cool but the film really went by the wayside. With all the gore and Hannibal out in the open it turned into just another serial killer movie. Definately not for the weak stomached.

Lots of lukewarm posts...I'll see it beacuse I enjoy Thomas Harris' books...HOWEVER, the book was not as good as 'Silence' and Harris really betrayed the Starling character in the book...

Just got back from it - I enjoyed it. I didnt think the gore was so bad (although the 'dinner' scenes were disturbing, although not so much gory)

Little slow at times but pretty good. A very different movie to 'silence' though, dont go in expecting more of the same.
