I know some topics take off more than others but I'm hoping we get a ton of responses on this one. Whether it's a fictional hero or someone in real life this is the place to post it. I'll get things started with one of my personal faves:

I think William Shatner aka Captain Kirk is one the best representations of what a heroic character should be. He's the take charge type of guy who always got the babes and was a man of action. I'm a bit of a Star Trek nut and got the idea of starting this topic after watching Star Trek VI-The Undiscoverd Country last night, definately one of the best Trek films made.

Can't remember who said this before but "I'd like to give mad props to main man Jesus" LMAO. But really I'm not sure I have a lot, of course in this forum you have to have Eddie from the early years is one, then I have always liked the personality of Randy Rhoads, humble and sweet and sincere. I mean my god he wrote a song for his mom. And then I guess Ronnie Van Zant too, he made me proud to be southern where as I used to be embarrassed. You know the south kicks major ass, No one throws parties like us, people from every where else like to make fun of us but we are pretty fucking awesome, as long as you are able to get past words like young’un and reckon. Any way those three people are cool, sorry about the drunken tangent.

Well I hate to beat a topic to death, but check out the Door to Door thread for my nominee - Bill Porter.

All I know is that after watching his story, I am not so quick to bitch when I get annoyed at my job!
"There's a Japanese term called wabi-sabi, not wasabi, but wabi-sabi. It means an appreciation for the imperfect, the less than precision. The cowboy boots that you never polish because it's bad luck. That is completely wabi-sabi. Van Halen is that." - DLR 2002<br /><br />"Look! I can see their parachutes! They're ok..." - Tenshinhan, DragonBall Z

Without a doubt every brave man and woman who raced INTO the WTC to attempt to rescue people while all the shit was falling around them.

Props to the NYPD, the FDNY, The Port Authority Police, and all the responding ambulance squads and volunteers.
