This guy is a class act. And it's good to see the Bills show some class and let Thurman retire as a Bill. They signed him to a one day contract and then he held a press conference and retired.

    What he accomplished:

    - 12,074 yds rushing, 9th on the all-time list, just 46 yds behind Franco Harris.

    - 6th in All-purpose yds.

    - Only player ever to lead the NFL in yds from scrimmage over 4 consecutive seasons, 1989 to '92.

    - Played in 4 Superbowls

Even though I'm a die-hard Browns fan, I think the NFL and the fans are going to miss this guy. A true class act. A shoe in for the Hall of Fame.

That's great news. I'm from Rochester NY and consider the Bills my second favorite team.

I'm glad to see Thurman be able to retire as a Bill.

Class all around, as far as I'm concerned.

Great player, one of the best ever. It's too bad he had to leave the Bills in the first place.

Good move on the part of the Bills.

I've got beef with anyone that didn't like Thurman on the field. The guys was a fantastic player. He deserves to go to the hall of fame, IMO.

His stats add up, and so does the way he conducted himself. If only thr NFL had mors Thurman Thomas', the XFL wouldn't exist...

Well he's going to the hall o' fame no doubt about that but for me if the guy's going to fumble it twice in a superbowl and on top of that not help his team win in a SB, 2 years straight makes decisions con-thurman for me if you know what I mean.

Sorry guys but I got's to drop the hammer ...
