I just got the address that was set up for the children of the Columbia's crew. I'm not sure what the common perception is, but the families receive nothing special from NASA besides normal death benefits. I hope the fine people here would consider donating to the children's fund.

The same fund was set up after the Challenger accident in '86. I saw a report on CNN last night that said those families needed every bit that was donated to them back then. Some of the now grown children from '86 have experienced severe emotional problems and those funds were used for therapy and school costs while they were growing up.

Donations for the 12 children of Columbia's astronauts can be mailed to the Space Shuttle Children's Trust Fund, P.O. Box 34600, Washington, D.C. 20043-4600.
