Just wanted to say thanks to ALL of the workers in NY. It was a incredible task I'm sure. Most of us at home didn't see the day to day task of cleaning up Ben Laden's "fuck up", but we all appreciate it. You all are heroes in my mind.

We will get this bastard - and when we do - HE WILL PAY!!

    WORD, Jeff!!!

No need for us to let this slip in the rearview mirror, especially in the midst of new terrorism warnings.

Those guys are still heros and always will be.

The people who worked at Ground Zero have to be among the hardest-working groups of all time on one of the most physically and emotionally punishing jobs ever handed down. The work they have done there is absolutely INCREDIBLE, and they deserve to be recognized as heroes for going above and beyond the call of duty as they have. They certainly deserve a lot of recognition for such a tough job they've done. My hat's off to them for displaying the TRUE American way.

I think you're right on the mark with it being an emotionally punishing job. The rest of us can distance ourselves from the events as we choose, but those guys were there thinking about it and working on it every day. I wouldn't want to do that.

Amen to that! I still can't believe how (relatively) quickly the cleanup operation went. They had expected it would take a LOT longer.

I was down visiting NYC with a friend of mine back in March 2002. Let me tell ya, the place looks SO much different without those 2 massive buildings in the skyline.

9/11 will ALWAYS hurt for me. My father was born and raised in NYC and throughout my life we visited relatives in NYC. I've been to WTC at least 3 times (all the way to the top) plus many other sites throughout The Greatest City In The World. (IMO)

9/11 will always hurt. So many feelings come to me when I think about it. Sadness, Anger, Frustration, Fear, Rage....Etc.

I can't even imagine a job like that - bad enough the mess, from 2, what, 110 story buildings - but the stuff you find along the way to the bottom of the pile. Terrible tragedy, terrible job - God bless those who lost loved ones and God bless those that had to find 'em.

Oh, by the way, Osama - you're grave is now ready...

Just wanted to say thank you and a congratulations to a job well done for all the workers who pitched in at 'Ground Zero'. I was proud of the way that this country came together following the horrible attacks. Hopefully, we can continue to band together as one.

i say thumbs up to all the heros in new york and who came from other areas to help with the cleaning up efforts of ground zero. they will always be heros and will be recognized for all their hard work and long hours put in and all they do on a daily basis. i watched the closing ceremony of ground zero on television. It really hurt seeing my home town under attack. my heart goes out to the victims. i will never foreget what happened. those cowards will get what they deserve. i am proud to be an american.
