I'm bored, so am banging off points Americans don't know about Canada, and other things. Ok, I'm teasing too *lol*

We don't all live in igloo's

You do not require snow shoes to walk down town Toronto in mid july (especially this year!)

The Capital of Canada

The Capital of USA

The Capital of Ontario or any of the 10 provinces.

That Basketball was invented in Canada,

So was 5 pin Bowling

Lacrosse is actually the official Canadian sport.

It is only 6 months of darkness and light in the far north.

No, Santa Clause does not live here.

Captain Kirk is a Canadian

So is Capatian Picard.

The names and Capitals of their own 50 states.

That Canada is NOT another state...not yet anyway.

The name of our Prime Minister.

We do in fact have electricity...where do you think most electical power in the US comes from?

The Avro Arrow (fighter jet) developed in the 1950's would still be more advanced than most the American F-18 today.

Oh there are many more that can be added, is infinate.

Oh yeah, my favourite, The USA lost the war of 1812!

Well, I believe the capital of Canada is Ottawa. I also know our own capital and probably could rattle off most of the 50 states correctly (or at most two tries for some). I know where to look up Canada's capitals! I've been to Canada a few times and I think it's a nice place - although I've only been in the summer (don't like to go north in my own country in the winter!). Should've tossed in that parts of Canada are further south than parts of the 48 contiguous states! Thanks to Canada for being a great neighbour!

Kim Mitchell was the little girl on Nanny and the Professor, right?

What the hell is a "Capatian Picard"? Must be one of those Canada phrases like 'eh' and 'aboot'.

If you REALLY want to pick on us Americans, it's as easy as 1-2-3 :

1) Call us 'Upper Mexicans'

2) Tell us how much you 'envy' our politicians for how admirable they all are.

3) Last but not least, remind us that the Baldwin brothers still live here.

You go through those three, and we gotta walk home with our tails between our legs.
Don't bark at me...I didn't name ya.

If I REALLY wanted to pick on Americans I would just remind you that the Toronto Blue Jays won the world series....2 years in a row. And the following year it would have been either Toronto or Montreal that would have won, is why there was a strike!

But that just wouldn't be very neighbourly.

But hell, your own current President doesn't even know where P.E.I. is so what the hell eh!

Actually... we know they're not real people. Kirk was from Iowa, and Picard was from France.

Bullshit. While a very advanced design for its time, that time has passed it by. No worries though, Canada won't have any active F-18s soon enough anyway.

Ahem... such revisionism isn't welcome here. While we didn't have a clear-cut victory in that war, we certainly didn't lose it either.

C'mon, let's be realistic about things many Americans don't know. 1) Their president is a fucking idiot, and 2) where the hell they are on a map.

i've noticed that the american education system is more centralized on themselves, while the canadian education system is more global. i do find it laughable that most americans couldn't point to where they are on an unmarked map though. that's pretty disgraceful.

any of my fellow canadian counterparts recall the "talking to americans" special that this hour has 22 minutes did? that was funny stuff.

captain kirk (william shatner) is canadian. captain picard (patrick stewart) i'm pretty sure is irish.

i have never heard anyone say "aboot". that's a hollywood misconception.

i bet that if you asked an american about any other country other than canada and a canadian about that same country, the canadian would know more about it. once again, the education system is different.

i ask the next person who replies to this to tell me what/who Nunavut is. just for fun.

And where are you getting this information? How many Nobel prize winners are from Canada? How do you connect to the Internet?

any of my fellow canadian counterparts recall the "talking to americans" special that this hour has 22 minutes did? that was funny stuff.

The most annoying thing is talking to your kind with the ABOOT, and REBOOT, and WEENDOOOWS NINTEE EIGHT. Let's not talk about "talking". Your country can't even decide what the national language is.

captain kirk (william shatner) is canadian. captain picard (patrick stewart) i'm pretty sure is irish.

Both are sucky actors. Everyone knows Spock and Scotty made the show.

i have never heard anyone say "aboot". that's a hollywood misconception.

Of course you don't hear it! You also can't smell your own shit! I work with many Canadians over the phone. They think they talk like me, and I have the Chicago accent. (not as bad as the super fans ).

i bet that if you asked an american about any other country other than canada and a canadian about that same country, the canadian would know more about it. once again, the education system is different.

So your saying a bum off the street in Canada can name all the African countries? This is such a bogus statement. Did you even start college yet? What do you honestly know about Americans?

i ask the next person who replies to this to tell me what/who Nunavut is. just for fun.

A territory in northern Canada west of the Hudson Bay and parts of the islands north of 60 north latitude. Became an official territory in 1999.

CHICAGO WHITE SOX - 2005 WORLD CHAMPIONS

The Chicago White Sox (1901-present) - The Original SOX - Proof

The Boston Americans (1901)
The Boston Somersets (1902)
The Boston Pilgrims (1903-1906)
The Boston Red Sox (1907-present) - Proof

The Pilgrims/Americans/Somersets whatever you want to call them, have NEVER displayed "SOX" anywhere on their caps, jerseys, or merchandise, therefore they shouldn't be referred to as such. However, the White Sox have used "SOX" since 1912.

The SOX are in Chicago...we just allow the Pilgrims/Americans/Somersets to use the name.
