In the spirit of FH's toys we miss, I got nostalgic and thought about breakfast cereals or any other treats we can remember from our childhood. So I'll start off with these 70's cereals:

However, you can still order Quisp online.

    Any others?

Boo Berry is still in stores...

How about good ol' fried apple pies from Mickey D's??? The originals are still in Europe. I was so tempted to bring home a suitcase full of apple pies a couple of years ago, but figured I would lose them in customs

For some strange reason, Boo Berry was only available in a few limited areas of the U.S. after the late 1970s. I remember eating it a lot as a youngster and all of a sudden you couldn't find it in any of the stores. I've since met a few people from other parts of the country who've had it all along. maybe it just didn't sell well in some geographic areas.

On a similar note, anyone remember Fruit Brute?

    Here's another one I miss:

These were a fall tradition around my house growing up. I can remeber trying to stretch the caramel sheet around the apple without tearing it (I almost always did ) and then stabbing the top with the popsicle stick. They ruled.

You can still get Jiffy Pop. We got some just a couple months ago. It's best when your camping though.

Anyway, speaking of old foods, We were watching a show called "Unwrapped" on the Food Network about a year ago, and they did a segment on a place called Hometown Favorites. You gotta check them out. The decade boxes are fantastic!. I got the 50's for my mom and the 70's for my sister. Nostalgia at it's best.

Two of my favs! Honorable Mentions: King Vitamin, which is still available and tastes like the above, and Fruit Brute, which was the fruity-version of the Monsters' cereals that had a Werewolf as it's mascot.

I'm sure some of you remember the 'Reggie Bar' named after Hall of Fame baseball player Reggie Jackson. I used to eat it all the time right up until they stopped making it.

Was the Marathon Candy-Bar that long, "braided" or chain-like chocolate and charamel candy bar?
If so, I miss those and "Sugar Daddys"!
